Full production batch is on it's way

Posted by David Jones (Creator)

The final production batch boards are on the truck and will start to arrive tomorrow. So I should be able to ship some the same day. 100 or so units at first with more to follow in the coming days. So technically the campaign is still on time shipping in March as originally promised. Although obviously I can't ship 1000 units in a few days, so some will be early April, sorry about that, but delays do happen for various reasons.

No, I do not know what order I will ship them in, consider it random, it's just however the database gets chopped up, sorted and imported.

There are still some production reflow issues that are delaying some things. That has not been sorted yet, but that won't stop units coming in, it's just a yield issue the assembler has to deal with.

For those who have been asking, no, none of the $79 backer unit have been shipped yet, that is what this final production run is for. And yes, all of the $85 backers were shipped as per the previous updates.

And again, for those asking, yes, if you are not a backer you will be able to buy the µCurrent soon either directly or via dealers. But this won't happen until all the Kickstarter units have shipped, that would not be fair to those who backed the project.

Quit trying to break Kickstarter by shipping stuff on time! It's a rule that things will ship late! :)

You'll collapse the universe if you try otherwise...

Thanks for that update. I was wondering how it is going.

      Hello Dave,

I received my unit a few weeks back. Very good quality!! I was wondering about one thing, though. Included in the box is a "holder" for 3 AAA batteries. Is this meant as a replacement/alternative for the CR2032 battery?
