Ecoustik (Ecōstik) was a successful Kickstarter campaign not so long ago. In the past few months, we have seen growth and a wonderful welcome to the marketplace. We have had successful sales with Fab and have several more upcoming sales with Monoqi & Lexhed. We have even been contacted about doing private label docks.
Even though we are seeing so much success right now, Ecoustik is still small. Every penny of Ecoustik sales is funneled back into making more product and taking the next step in growing Ecoustik so there is very little capital to work with when creating a new dock. So we turn to you again. Not to mention we enjoyed working with Kickstarter's so much, we just wanted a reason to come back.
So, here it is, with the introduction of the iPhone 5 we want to make a dock specifically for the 5, we call it the Ecoustik 5. The new iPhone would work in the original Ecoustik dock, but for us, it's not going to fit the way we intended. Given that the iPhone 5 is thinner than the 4 it will lean back more affecting performance. It will also change the angle so that handsfree Facetime might be more like Nostril cam. Also, the 5 has the newly designed dock connector which is much smaller than the old 30 pin. We can now add a charging port, like so many people asked during the original Kickstarter campaign. Finally we have a few new finishing techniques up our sleeves to differentiate the Ecoustik 5 from the original Ecoustik dock.
We are very excited to ask for your help again Kickstarters and look forward to working with you all again. What a fantastic community. Thanks for reading and backing our Ecoustik 5 campaign.
Risks and challenges
There are a lot of steps to complete once a project is funded. It's a busy process and one that I enjoyed immensely. My initial Ecoustik (known as Ecōstik at the time) campaign was a great learning tool and one that I completed with a lot of happy backers. Feel free to check out the past campaign and see the comments left by others. ThanksLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
Once the campaign ends, those who chose that as their prize will receive a list of wood species to choose from. Once the choices have been made, I will tally up the results and the wood species with the most votes is the "Voters Choice" for those docks. Have fun.
