Ecomo Bottle aims to bring clean water to everyone and minimize the usage of plastic bottles. Customers may choose to contribute to our water quality data map (without revealing any privacy) and become part of the effort to protect public health and the environment.
Ecomo Bottle saves approximately 228 plastic disposable water bottles within 3 months.
Test out the contaminants in your water simply with a shake.
The bottle’s 3-in-1 filtration system can remove most major contaminants, such as pesticides, petrochemical products, bacteria, and most heavy metals.
Drink water with peace-in-mind, anywhere, anytime.
A wearable activity tracker that computes your hydration needs, tracks your intake and alerts you about bad water quality.
The Ecomo Bottle is also compatible with Apple Watch and FitBit.
- Utility Patent on Built-in water quality analyzing system
- Utility Patent on High-performance 3-in-1 filtration system
- Design Patent on water safety alerts and water intake notifications
- Design Patent on bottle design
With Ecomo Bottle, you are able to monitor:
Ecomo 3-in-1 filtration system removes most major contaminants, complete with a filter replacement notification when a new filter is needed.
1 of 3: Activated Carbon Filter to remove chlorine, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and petrochemical products.
2 of 3: Ion Exchange Filter to remove heavy metals such as lead, mercury, copper and cadmium.
3 of 3: Nano-fiber Microfiltration Membrane, with the pore size smaller than 0.2 micro-meter, effectively filters up to 99.9% of bacteria in your water.
Quick Recharge. One hour charge gets you one week of use!
Real-time water quality alert, check history data, choose to report your data to the water quality map, get hydration alerts and be notified when to change your filter.

Quotes from the Media:
"The bottle connects to a smartphone app that will allow users to report their findings, like an internet-of-things device that could actually have an impact on public health and policy." - Fast Company
"The bottle could come in handy if you're on a hike and need to filter river water, or if you have a feeling your pipes need cleaning and want to make sure the tap water's potable." - Business Insider
"Perhaps its only downside is the fact it is not available yet as the brand plans on launching through Kickstarter in October." - Digital Trends
"With real-time water contamination feedback and hydration monitor, the Ecomo smart water bottle brings cleaner water in an easier way." - ABC6
"If you are traveling or need to check the quality of your water on a regular basis you might be interested in a new water bottle which is capable of testing and providing feedback on your water quality in real time." - Geeky Gadgets
Risques et défis
There are risks and challenges ahead of us. These are what we have done, what is missing and what is our plan for the future.
A. Testing aspect
The measurement devices have been proven to work consistently and accurately in lab and household conditions by comparing the testing results with standard solutions with known concentrations, the errors are consistently less than 3%. But we lack data in long-term stability and under extreme working conditions. We are working on the experiments and working with third-party testing agencies to obtain certificates.
B. Filtering Aspect
We carefully choose the leading technology from leading suppliers from all around the world. For instance, for the nano-fiber filter, we have tested more than a dozen materials and eventually picked a winner from Japan. We have completed the first round of materials/components selection contests as of today, but still working on the best combinations and alternatives.
C. Industrial Designing Aspect
How to smartly assemble the filters to achieve the goals of cost efficiency, endurance and best protection, is the core of the design team, which means many iterations of the design, tests and re-design process. We have had the first prototype but we want a better product. We believe that all the efforts and customer input will produce the best design possible.
D. Manufacturing and Delivering Aspect
We are working with carefully chosen, reputable world-leading manufacturers. However, component delays and unexpected shortages may occur, which might increase the lead time. If this happens, you will be notified of any changes immediately.
