My name is Echo Chernik.
I'm very excited to announce the Fifth Winged Woman in my Kickstarter only art series. Several years ago I premiered Swan Queen as the first in a series of new, highly collectible art nouveau masterworks.
These works are available exclusively* on Kickstarter to my fans and collectors. The editions will be low, and will appreciate in value as their demand and popularity grows. This concept will allow me the time that I need to create personal, High Art Nouveau masterpieces, while allowing you to be a part of the process, and to collect early edition pieces that will increase in rarity and desirability.
If you missed any of the earlier prints, you may purchase them, but only during this kickstarter - and only if the edition has not sold out. The editions are set, and once they sell out, they will no longer be available. The largest print, at 27x35 has only twenty five in the entire edition.
Please also read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for more about this campaign.
The Series and Theme
These are large pieces, intricately detailed. I received many requests for winged Art Nouveau women. They are developing into an amazing set of artworks, and I'm very pleased at the outcome. Thank you to all my current backers whom have helped bring this goal to life.
I chose owl, or specifically, Barn Owl, for the fifth piece. Owls are silent, magnificent birds. I grew up playing in and out of a barn full of barn swallows - and every once in a while, I was graced with the honor of viewing one of these stunning birds. I'm excited to depict them in this new piece, but I need your help to make it possible.
The Winged Women Series
If you missed any of the below pieces - now is your chance to collect them. If you wanted just one of the previous ones, and not owl, for your reward - you can do that too!
The First Four:
The Owl Queen
I'm pleased to share the sketch and in progress of owl queen with you. I intend to spend time on Twitch working live, taking comments and suggestions from fans. I will post these times on my facebook page.
I've also posted the sketches of the previous queens below - I love to involve my fans with watching their progress as they develop. As you can see, I often develop the piece as it's in progress and make changes to the original concept. This is my preferred method of working, as it lets the piece grow organically - as it's meant to be, until it's perfect in every way. Kickstarter and my fans allow me the time to work on these pieces, creating something that otherwise wouldn't exist.

The fun of a Kickstarter only piece of art is - they are only available to collect during a very small window of time. I've laid out the size chart below in a graphic - please be sure to drop a comment or email if you have questions!
Small oil and mixed media study on cradled board 11x8" "You can call me Owl".
I have a number of Stretch Goals planned - which I will announce as we closer to funding. Goals such as improved charms for everyone.
This applies to all backers after November 19th, 2017.
The custom reward level requires backers to calculate the shipping cost as well and add it to their pledge. For example, the Custom Level shows that shipping costs a minimum of $12 for U.S. shipments. The amount shown for your country should be added to your pledge (and any extra shipping costs required for over 2 pounds to be charged later). For a pledge of two prints for $90 shipping across the U.S., the required pledge would be $102. Thank you for understanding.
The idea of a Kickstarter-Only available print will allow me to spend the time that I need to create the personal pieces with all of the delicious detail that my fans adore. The benefit to you is this. There will be two editions of the print. The Kickstarter Only (K-O) print will be full sized - 4:3 proportions (e.g., 18"w X 24"t). The public print will be heavily cropped to 2:1 proportions (e.g., 12"w X 24"t). The introduction of the mainstream cropped version will promote the value of the limited edition Kickstarter Only prints - and make yours grown exponentially in value, based on the popularity of the artwork.
As more people possess the mainstream work, they will covet your out of print version. Your investment on helping me make these pieces come to life is meant to be a mutually beneficial journey, and will help with the creation of works that may otherwise never see the light of day. The run size of the individual sizes will depend on the number of backers. All the prints will be signed individually by the artist and will come with a certificate verifying authenticity.
Other benefits. I will be working on the piece on Twitch, so that you can stop by and check in on it's progress if you wish. Ask me questions, and even contribute to the piece as it is being created. Thank you for reading my proposal, and for considering joining in on the creation of the first in a series of gorgeous masterworks, which you can help to make possible.
Risks and challenges
We have successfully funded three book campaigns, two calendar campaigns and five other winged women art prints. I also have successfully created and fulfilled two additional cthulhu kickstarters.
My most recent kickstarter was in collaboration with Patrick Rothfuss for the NOTW art deck - which is being fulfilled by Elodin Enterprises. These posters are created in house, so as soon as the piece is complete, it will be shipped with no delay.
Sometimes artwork takes longer than expected - the creative muse can be finicky like that. I always fulfill projects as quickly as possible - but without rushing the artwork - quality is most important!
