We have Stretch Goals!

Happy Friday & Happy Day 4 Update! Let me thank all of you again for backing our project. This all wouldn't be possible without your support and you saved us from having to go down the NPR pledge drive path.

From the second day we started getting a lot of questions about stretch goals and to be honest, we thought we'd have a lot longer to figure those out. We're still working out the logistics of a few smaller goals, but we we came up with a good challenge. We're looking at $35k as a good number to reach. That will be another 500 backers in the next 26 days.

If Curiosities hits $20k everyone will get a bookmark. Not just any bookmark. A fancy, quality bookmark. We're working out the details as we speak, but the odds are good that it will be made of wood veneer and be inscribed with an intricate laser cut pattern.

If Curiosities hits $35k everyone contributing over $50 will also get an all New Prequel Book. We have some great back stories we want to explore about the eccentric relatives touched upon in Curiosities. We just need the excuse to be able to tackle that project. Again it would be a mix of writing, comics and storybook and the perfect companion piece to our larger book. So how do we get there? If each of you can get someone - a friend, a neighbor, a coworker, your local comic shop, or even your library, to get a book then we'll achieve this goal no problem, and you'll get yourself an addition book full of all new stories.

Hope this excites those of you asking about stretch goals. Let us know what you think!

      @Antonio - Absolutely.

@Mike: Wait, so you're saying that you authorize them to include the painting made for your $350 or $500 pledge, in the book as an extra? If so, I'm sure they can at least include it in the companion book, as I'm sure the layout for Curiosities has been completed.

      You guys rock!!
These strech goals are awesome, the quality of the bookmark alone, based on your description, sounds fab, and the thought of another book, for free, just goes beyond generous!
Above and beyond, guys, above and beyond!

If you had an option that the $350 or $500 custom painting could be made into one of the pages of the book for a higher level, I might be game.

And just to say hard work does get rewarded; The Order of the Stick (also) had a lot of changes and addition to the Kickstarter pledges. ( If you make some new pledge levels just be clear what they contain and make some nice charts like Mr. Burlew has done to keep it clear who gets what.
From 57,750 he got more then 1.25 mil. You won't get there but still its the idea that counts!

Pledged up quickly to take a slot but will prob pledge down (project is funded so thats not so bad).
Well I don't need the cards, Freckles seems to be general art stuff. Not bad but I'm more looking for scetches and such that align with said book above.
Not sure what Quarter Past all has inside. Not mentioned anywhere I think? Any chance for some more clarity on that aswell? :)
(yes yes running a Kickstarter is a lot of work ;) )
Also it lacks the e-book, sketch and print. My main goal is the book, maybe e-book and any form of extra story/content and or art relating to the book itself. I'll look again tomorrow after sleepy time and perhaps pledge down again.

@TheChosenOne: You should see if you can jump to $85 to bump the project closer to the $35k AND to get one of the last 3 packages with every single book. They are going FAST!.

    8. TheChosenOne on June 22, 2012

I could less about the bookmark but the $35k sounds good ofc.
Could you do an update about what the what and how and wuch what you'll put in the e-book? Just cause it says "student" doesn't mean it can't be for me. :P
Also if you get to the prequel book (and someone has it included in the order) I would asume it would delay the shipment of the order. Which is completely normal ofcourse but I would (if I'm right) do make an extra mention of it just incase. People are extremely tolerant/forgiving as long as the Kickstarter provides constant information/clarity.
      I'll up from 1 to 25(ish).

I'm not trying to a horse's hindquarters or anything, but "occassion" is spelled incorrectly in Aunt Winnifred's banner. It should be "occasion". I only know because I *constantly* spell it the wrong way and the proper spelling is finally starting to stick.

Those are really fabulous stretch goals! :) Thanks for posting them!

Nice! Ok, just to clarify. We hit $35k, and the Prequel Book is a reality. Would said prequel book be a hardcover as well? Sure, a smaller one (32 pages sounds about right), but still, hardcover would be awesome.
