Visual learning methods work!
Be that in a classroom, college or in your working environment. Visual learning helps us better remember and retain information. With Fret Friend you can add a new dimension to your learning.
With Fret Friend, learning not only becomes easier and faster! Maybe there was a certain scale or a solo, that took you days or weeks to remember and properly play? By adding a visual element to your learning you can speed up that process.
For years, self-taught musicians have been learning chords and scales by shapes, not theory. In fact, some of the most influential and world famous guitarists have stated, that they posses absolutely no theoretical knowledge. Either they learned how to play by ear (which is developed through time) or by learning the shapes.

Scale and chord diagrams are usually complex structures. With Fret Friend you can draw them directly on your fretboard. Because you're the one marking them they can be in any tuning, shape or form!

Music: Words by Spotless Minds
Built from & for creativity
My passion for music was growing and I wanted to find a more convenient way to learn guitar scales. Since it's easier to learn new things visually, I started with a basic approach. Sticking small pieces of paper on the fretboard. It looked funny but it helped! That's when I started to think of ways I could transfer this idea to something sustainable.
And thus Fret Friend was born.

Fits on the biggest brands
Guitar necks differ. An acoustic guitar neck just isn't the same as an electric one. Classical guitars and Bass guitars are different again. We use hook and loop tape that fits on any neck.
We made sure Fret Friend fits on as many guitar necks as possible. With this in mind, we designed it to fit on any guitar scale length from 23.5'' to 25.5'' (610 - 648 mm). If your guitar is larger or smaller than this, drop us a comment! We'll see what we can do :)

Risks and challenges
Most of us have been a part of a successful Kickstarter campaign before. With this experience we tried our very best to predict any and all challenges that we might face.
That being said there are always some things that can go wrong. Shipping of materials can get delayed and sewing might take longer than originally anticipated. We haven't worked with these companies before so it was harder for us to predict such setbacks. But we are in contact with them daily to ensure things go smoothly and to be the first to know if something unexpected happens.
We are aware that most projects miss their deadlines. So far we were quite fortunate to hit all the deadlines with our previous campaigns. We're really proud of this and we'll make sure that our backers get their rewards on time!
There are many things that can go wrong with a project. We tried to account for most of them and make sure that we can avoid them.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
