Easy Profit Game is a game designed to make making money fun! It’ll teach you skills that can be used in real life & in business.
Play CEO as you navigate through opportunities and pitfalls in the game. Make tough calls that can risk your profits or give you the ultimate climb at the end of the year.
Look, we get it - finance may not look like the most fun thing to do. It seems super complicated and, to be honest, difficult. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We first made Easy Profit Game to teach franchise owners how to run their business finances. We didn’t want to use another boring training manual, so we turned finance into an easy to learn, easy to play, game.
Your goal in Easy Profit Game is simple - MAKE THE MOST PROFIT!
Though the goal is simple, the steps to get there will have plenty of challenges. You’ll be required to make tough decisions, possibly take loans, and balance risk & reward.
For more details, visit www.EasyProfitGame.com in the “Run Your Business” section.
The journey will teach you valuable lessons and skills needed to properly run a business and maximize your profits!
The Month to Month
These moves will either increase your sales, cost you big, or both. Fill in the blanks on the game sheets to ultimately determine your End Of Year Profits!
But don’t just take everything as it comes, sometimes a gain now will cost later. Conversely, taking a loss now may mean larger earnings later. Pay close attention to each opportunity and weigh your options carefully.
Every company runs into operational situations that require extra capital. Initially, these may come across as annoying expenses, but don’t be so quick to judge. Sometimes, these expenses can end up being profitable investments.
Learn how to deal with operational expenses and flip them to not just keep your company afloat but to turn a HUGE PROFIT.
The CEO can make a decision to take a long-term loan and get some immediate cash to keep the company going through the year. However, this will affect your end of year profits (overall results for the game).
If your bank account does drop to zero, you are required to take a loan as a company can’t operate on negative cash.
End of Month Reports
At the end of each month (round), each company is required to report its progress. This is an amazing time to see how your competition is faring and see if you need to reevaluate your plans.
The progress is reported by looking at the bottom line to see if it was positive or negative. If it was positive then the Economic Health card turns to the black (black side up) indicating that the company is making money. If the bottom line is negative them the Economic Health card turns to the red (red side up) indicating that the company is losing money. Economic health is determined by the collective performance of companies in the same region (group of teams). When your month ends, look around at the other teams to check the status of their Economic Health cards to determine if you will use declining, stable or growing revenue amounts for the next month.
Learn to listen to other companies and your partners as you play. They may have solutions or ideas that may help you with your current situation or next. Trade knowledge and ideas, and you may find that a win-win approach may end up serving you the best.
When the year is closed, the winner of the game is determined by the highest profit. But where the game ends, life continues. Talk with your fellow players and reflect over what lessons were learned through the game. How will this affect your personal finances, how you run your business, or how you navigate through work?
Easy Profit Game was first created to be a fun way to teach franchisees how to handle and run their business finances.
They raved about how practical and fun it was and brought the samples to their own families. Soon enough, kids and teenagers were joining them in learning vital skills on how to run a business - all while having a blast with their families!
Now, Easy Profit Game is coming to you. Get your friends and family engaged and excited as you all become financially literate and start GAINING PROFIT!
We will start shipping games approximately 2 months after the end of the Kickstarter campaign.
Jerrod Sessler, a former NASCAR driver, technology engineer, and Navy Petty Officer, has always been an innovator. In 1999, after being diagnosed with stage four metastasized melanoma, and given a five percent chance of survival, Jerrod opted to pursue alternative means of treatment by moving to a plant-based diet. Now, twenty years after his grim diagnosis, Sessler is fit, healthy and cancer free without conventional medical treatment.
In 2004 Sessler founded HomeTask, a service company using the franchising business platform to grow great brands such as Pet Butler, Lawn Army, and Yellow Van Handyman. The company has grown by franchising branded locations nationwide. Sessler received dual engineering degrees in manufacturing and mechanical and has brought his systems knowledge into the franchising industry. As a result of his passion for health and fitness, Jerrod founded Freggies, an organic produce delivery service, and Hot Feet Fitness, a workout, stretch & yoga studio concept.
Sessler was nominated as the Small Business Association (SBA) Person of the Year in 2007 and was named SBA Veteran Champion of the Year in 2010 for his work in offering significant discounts to veterans so that they can start their own businesses. In 2009 Sessler became a published author with his book “Five Percent Chance,” which shares his story of surviving cancer and taking responsibility for his health. He later authored “Food Chains” and “Five Minute Workout” in 2013. These days you can find Sessler spending time with his family, leading the HomeTask Network, and serving in his hometown of Burien, Washington.
Risks and challenges
We've worked extremely hard to prepare this product for Kickstarter and full-scale manufacturing and fulfillment, but here are what we see as the risks and our plan to assess them:
MANUFACTURING: The manufacturer is lined up and we have done testing with all of the various game pieces.
FULFILLMENT: Barring any odd circumstances, there are no obstacles with regards to fulfillment that we anticipate. Our manufacturing partner is set to assemble the game for us and we have designed into the product a special shipping box so the game remains protected during its journey to your living room table.
