The Easy Frame is a machine frame for 3D printers, based of the measurements of the Anet A8 or any other I3 model. So you can easily build a precise 3D printer without big problems.
Check the required lenghts of the linear rods, print the parts and plug the remains of your old 3D printer into this steel frame.
required rod lenghts:
2 x 8mm x 380mm for the z- Axis
2 x 8mm x 380mm for the y- Axis2 x 8mm x 430 - 450mm for the x-Axis
max. buildvolume x= 270mm, y= 240mm, z= 240mm
The Easy Frame is a very stable, spotweldet and powdercoated steelframe with all the advantages you want to have when you build your own 3d printer.
It is possible to build all your electronics and power supplies underneath the frame, so that you can´t reach it with your fingers while it´s printing.
You have ennough space to add a second power supply, a raspberry pi, mosfets or some other electronics to your printer.
You can build it with direct extruder or Bowden extruder, you can also add a huge variety of Displays and controler to it.
There will be a huge list of stl files for display casings, adaptors for electronics, mods and other cool stuff that you can add to your printer.
For eample a toothbelt system to drive both of the Z-spindles with one motor and one closed Belt, so the X axis will never loose its position and its perpendicularity to the Z-axis.
The Frame is welded in a welding jig, so it is quaranteed that all 8 points which hold the linear rails will be on the right position and all the axis are perpendicular to each other.
According to the 1.5mm thick steel, the toothbelt on the y axis can be properly tensioned without bending the frameparts.
The Easy frame is the right choice if you want to build your own 3D printer and don´t want to spend too much time and money for it.
The frame is even so stable that it can be turned into a CNC mill. Here is our test:
Risks and challenges
Delivery problems of parts for the production:
By splitting it up among several suppliers, we can greatly reduce this problem.
Delay of delivery dates:
By building up inventory with a minimum amount of parts, we can respond to deadline issues
Problems in the production process:
By constantly optimizing our processes, we will avoid such problems
