Risiken und Herausforderungen
Tuning Forks are a specialized set of tools for a subset of a niche sport... so the biggest risk is not achieving the funding goal. This is a relaunch of an unsuccessfully-funded campaign, so I say that from experience.
And what's different with this relaunch? I'm taking on more risk. On the first campaign, I wanted to break-even with Kickstarter funding. I'd rather Tuning Forks exist than not, so I'm willing to take on that risk. I also have data from the previous campaign that I've used to fine-tune this campaign. For you as a backer, I've reduced reward and shipping costs.
I've spent a good portion of the last couple of years finalizing designs, sourcing suppliers and manufacturers, and collecting estimates. But this is my first manufacturing project While I've done my best to anticipate and mitigate issues, there will be bumps along the way. But I'll be open and transparent with backers as this project progresses.
I'm not out to squeeze every cent of profitability from this project. These are tools that I will be using myself—and I have pretty high expectations. I'll be working closely with my manufacturers to make sure Tuning Forks are something I'll be proud for you to use.
This one seems to be the toughest for projects to nail. Over the past 4 years, I've done a lot of work to prep Tuning Forks for manufacturing, but it might not be perfect out of the gate. I've included a good amount of padding in the schedule for manufacturing, testing, and revisions if necessary. But again, I won't know what I don't know until I get the first set in my hands.Näheres zur Rechenschaftspflicht auf Kickstarter
