Yes, the earbuds are designed to pass IP54 testing, which ensures dust resistance and splashing of water.
The Earin will also be verified against chemical substances such as lotion, oil, alcohol and sweat, in line with mobile phone standards.
The playtime is between 2,5-3h, after that you will be able to fully recharge your earbuds in your portable capsule, due to its inbuilt battery.
When at home, place your earbuds in the capsule and connect the usb-cable, this will charge both the earbuds and the capsule battery simultaneously.
The lifecycle of this battery is 1000 FULL cycles at 80% of initial capacity, meaning it will still work but after 1000 cycles, but the capacity will go below 80% of initial capacity.
The battery in the capsule will be replaceable, however not the battery in the earbud as it would have negative impact on the size, which is one of our main drivers.
Yes and No, the sound will be transmitted to the earbuds, however you will need to use the phone as mic, as the earbuds are not equipped with a microphone.
If you want to buy two sets, just double the amount for the pledge, but add only £10 for shipping.
If you want to add sets after you have pledged. Follow the above rule except if your pledge option has run out, then you need to pledge for an open pledge option.
Example:
1. I want to buy two sets of Earin. Current pledge option is £119 =>Pledge will be 2x119 plus £10 for shipping.
2. I have bought a set for £79 plus £10 shipping and now want to buy one more set. The £79 is finished and current open pledge option is at £119. =>Add £119 to your pledge.
The Earin is still in development phase and the specification might change due to trimming. In the beta build we have 3 new front end mechanics parts for verification and measurements and verifications will be made on this build.
Audio chip
• FIR or IIR tuning capabilities
• True wireless
o Delay up to 500ms with A2DP (SBC) but shorter with Apt-X (200ms)
o Delta between left and right ear about 50us, max 70us, about three samples at 48kHz
Balanced armature
• 6,4mm Balanced Armature component
• High impedance and Sensitivity
• 56 Ohm@1kHz
• Less demanding for amplifier
• Less current consumption
• Independent of back side integration
Frequency response
• Full audible spectrum of 20-20kHz
• Below link shows frequency response measured on prototypes with same BA as in Earin during Earin concept phase.
