The Sugoï Series is a package of 3 tactical games for two players, artistically set in a colorful Universe created by 3 different designers and published by FERTI GAMES. Eagle-Gryphon Games is the exclusive distributor of Ferti Games in North America and Asia. These 3 great games, in English, French and German, are available all over the world for the first time during this Kickstarter. After that, they will likely be available only in France and Europe.
The Monkey is ambitious, malicious and likes to play games. He wants to challenge the Wiseman to gain the keys of the temple. The Wiseman, trusting in his skills and wanting some peace, proposes a challenge to the monkey to take place in the sacred court. The first to reach the opposite side is the winner and will become the master of the temple — the SENSEI
Designed by PHILIPPE LEFRANCOIS & illustrated by BIBOUN
What's in the SENSEÏ box?
- 1 Reversible game board
- 14 Wooden pieces
- 2 Painted Figurines.
On your turn, you can move two stones and send your character across the game board. Your goal is to block your opponent and at the same time to find a path to victory. There are two ways of playing: the Arashi variant is played without limits of movements and the Shizukana is played with a more Zen-like challenge.
Example of Play and win: Red player moves one stone twice and then moves his character for the win.
2 Boardgames for 2 styles of play:
In the Land of the Rising Sun, at the heart of a forest, the spirits – the Yōkaï – throw down friendly challenges to one another on their favorite playing field: their aim is to capture the opposing koropokkuru (an old imp, full of wisdom).
Designed by MADOKA KITAO & illustrated by NAÏADE
Presentation of YOKAÏ NO MORI, already published by FERTI GAMES, to give you an idea of the components of the 3 games
What's in the YOKAÏ NO MORI box?
- 1 Reversible game board
- 24 Wooden pieces
- 36 Stickers
Inspired by Shogi – a traditional Japanese game – Yōkaï no mori is a game with simple rules, but with an enormous wealth of tactics and strategy.
One of its features is that the pieces are never definitively eliminated: any piece which is captured may be put back into play at any time by its new owner.
Example of Play and win: Player moves his Kitsune to capture the opponent Koropokkuru for the win.
2 Boardgames & 2 sets of pieces for 2 levels of play:
Is the trunk of the elephant stronger than the horn of the rhinoceros? The question is still hotly debated in the Kingdom of Siam. The two powerful and proud species are constantly challenging each other around three rocks to prove their domination.
Designed by DIDIER DHORBAIT & illustrated by BIBOUN
What's in the SIAM box?
- 1 Reversible game board
- 13 Wooden pieces
- 18 Stickers
To win the game, be the first player to push a rock off of the board.
Either animal can push a rock but beware, if you want to push an animal facing you, you have to be superior in numbers, e.g. you will need 2 animals to push 1 or 3 to push 2, etc.
Example of Play and win: The Rhino pushes the Rock for the win.

SHIPPING RATE TABLE.
Ferti was created in 2001. In the past 13 years we have worked hard to become a world-renowned publisher of very high quality games. We produce both wooden games -- like Pitchcar, Tumblin’ Dice, and Crokinole; as well as board and card games -- like Coup, En Garde, and Yokai no Mori.
In 2011, we bought our own wood production factory so that we could totally control and improve the production and quality of our games.
In 2014, we challenged ourselves with Taluva Deluxe! The project was a success, thanks to the Kickstarter Backers!
Thanks for your support of The Sugoï Series!

Shipping issues are relatively uncommon, but they do sometimes occur, especially when shipping to destinations outside of the US. We will obtain tracking information when it is possible, but sometimes it is not. We cannot guarantee that there will not be shipping problems, as we cannot guarantee the service and reliability of the various postal/delivery services involved around the world. You will have to assume that risk along with us.
We are a games publisher and not a shipping/delivery/governmental postal carrier. We do not ship damaged games out to you. But occasionally they are damaged in shipping by the carrier. Please keep in mind that we did not cause that damage, nor are we responsible for it. Your first recourse is to recover your losses (if any) from the carrier, not us. However, if you are reasonable about it, we will work with you to document and recover these losses as well.
Eagle-Gryphon Games has completed over 50 Kickstarter projects to date. Virtually all of those projects have either completed delivery or they are in the midst of it right now! Five projects, successfully completed on Kickstarter within the past few months, include--the Gallerist, Loop, Inc., Floating Market, Wharfside, Dexikon, All of those games have just been delivered to our warehouses in the past month and are in the final days of being delivered now!
Other games are on the ocean -- e.g. Wombat Rescue, Xenon Profiteer, and Taluva Deluxe. One game, Morocco, is at the beginning stages of production (it was successfully funded last week on KS).
We keep Backers notified by Updates about the status of their projects. We deliver on our promises reliably and usually on time (the very few delays we have ever had were related to production schedule issues and/or transport issues such as weather and dock strikes, which we have only, at best, partial or NO control over).
To put it simply, you will get everything you are promised when you pledge to one of our Kickstarter Projects, and it will be delivered to you in as timely a manner as possible.
Shipping can be problematic and expensive. We ask that you are patient and tolerant and share the burden with us of making sure that shipping is as positive an experience as it can be. But be aware of what is involved please.
We will ship US orders from our Eagle-Gryphon Games warehouse in Kentucky; Canadian orders from Board Games Bliss in Ontario; Australian orders from The Games Capital in Canberra; and Asian orders from our warehouse in Shenzhen, China (mainland). Many EU orders will ship from our warehouse in Enschede, The Netherlands and some might be shipped directly from your home country, if other print partners join us in co-productions! We do all this in an effort to keep expenses low but this much shipping also introduces more chances for damage and delays. We cannot avoid this risk, and save money for you. So we ask that you join us in assuming some of the risk when it is not ours either, and that you are as tolerant and patient as need be about the estimates we make many months before as to "Estimated Delivery" dates in the Rewards section. Many things about this estimate are simply NOT within our control, and you must agree to be tolerant and accepting of those delays. We will do our best to keep things on time, but we simply cannot assure you that we will meet these made-well-in-advance estimates.
It has been our experience that many people (including sophisticated international Kickstarter Backers) frequently confuse "shipping" expense and "postage" expense. What we try to cover with the above fees (in part) is shipping expenses, not just postage. Postage is the actual charge your country's postal service (or UPS, FedEx, etc) charges us to deliver a package within that country.
Shipping is far more comprehensive and includes: getting the container shipped to the US, or the EU, or Australia; the Customs and VAT (or equivalent) and other import fees and taxes; the drayage from the port to the warehouse (not cheap!); the warehouse fees to unload and sort out and prepare packages; the materials and labor involved in the last item; fees to the warehouse for their service to us, and only after all of that, the postage! We need to cover all of those costs--and they really add up. Frequently they cost as much or more than the game(s) did to produce.
When we combine a low margin price (such as this one we are offering on virtually all our KS projects) with this shipping expense, we do not make any profit if we are not very careful. The shipping we are charging for this project is as low as we can make it and still stay in business. We ask that you understand this and when we occasionally make mistakes in quoting shipping expense that you accept these changes. We will always give yuo a refund if we make shipping changes and they are not acceptable to you.
Internationally, for unusual shipping destinations or multiple games, get in touch with us and tell us the total how many games you want and which ones; and where you would like them shipped.
To get in touch with us, please send us a Message (not a Comment please) using the "Contact Me" button at the top of the KS project.
We will not ship to Russia, the Ukraine and select places in Asia except for specially-made arrangements wherein the Backer takes the risk involved in receiving the package.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
