The video above is an UPDATE, showing a mock up of the calendar.

I've been learning, writing and talking about water issues for over ten years. I am doing this Kickstarter because I think these calendars may be a fun and interesting way to you to learn more about them.
Every month in the calendar is illustrated with art from my book (Living with Water Scarcity) and a short description of the "flow of the month."
In March, for example, the theme is "drinking water." The activity -- relating to water use and water pricing -- allows you to compare your statistics to others, online. Here's a sample page for that month [pdf].
I've tried to design rewards for backers at many levels. Please feel free to contact me with questions or suggestions of how to make this project great.
I'm planning to use recycled matte paper for the cover and interior of the calendar, which will open to two 8.5 x 11 inch (~22 x 28cm) pages -- the top with the image and the bottom with the dates. The calendar will not holidays. The pages will be stapled, rather than spiral-bound, to ease recycling in 2016 :)
If this Kickstarter is funded, then I intend to print and distribute the calendars from mid-January. I have been successful with these types of projects in the past and see no barriers to completing this one.
Thanks for your interest in this project!
Risks and challenges
This calendar will be shipped in mid-January, at the earliest. (I will immediately send everyone a PDF of January, in case they want to get started with that month's project.)
I have done various "mail fulfillment" projects over the years. The printing and delivery of this project should be straightforward.
Postage: I intend to use US or Dutch post. I may use a parcel service for 10 or 50 calendar orders.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
