Final 48 Hours - Developer Chat - New Art - 8 Cards Revealed
We're going into our final 48 hours! Thanks to a blog post from our friends over at Girl Genius we managed to unlock our 10th and 11th stretch goals! Let's see if we can knock over one or more goals as the clock ticks down!
To celebrate the end of our Kickstarter campaign, Dysprosium will be available for a Developer chat in the Board Game Online lobby chat between 23:00 PM and 02:00 AM CEST. Those are the last 2 hours of the campaign. If you have any questions, suggestions or if you just want to say hi, this will be the perfect time to do so!
Maquenda has been working hard on two of our stretch goals already and completed the finished art for the Dandelion and the Lunar Lioness! Check out the amazing final pieces below! Your support made these possible! :D
We've also received the final art for the Cornucopia token card! This neutral unit is placed somewhere in the Neutral Zone when you play Catnip Everdeen! This fantastic piece of art was made by SceithAilm.
8 New Cards Revealed
The Serval is a very special assassin type unit. Although he is very weak for his cost, his skill allows him to potentially be very strong. One little detail not mentioned on the card currently is that he can not jump over the same unit twice in a row. Since skills ignore Defender, it can be used to jump over Defender units to assassinate units in the enemy's backline... or to give a gentle nudge to that Catalyst. And in the ideal situation, you can do some crazy jumping to deal good damage to various units!
The Cat Surgeon is one of those cards that is just tricky to take advantage of. Luckily it has very strong basic values. Typically a card that can shine in some situations / decks.
Robocat is a very aggressive unit with the Shielded keyword, meaning its shield absorbs the first damage it takes, then fades. This makes the Robocat a surprisingly sturdy high damage unit!
The Sand Cat is a very strategic unit. Its basic values are good for a 2 Energy card, but its true power lies in its card text. The Location (Enemy) keyword means that its mechanic only applies when it is in the Enemy Zone. If you can get this little guy into the Enemy Zone when there are no enemy units, there's a good chance your opponent will be forced to buff it by playing a unit. This can mean a significant advantage in the early game!
The Snow Leopard has a special mechanic, allowing it to still move after attacking. Pretty handy for "hit and run" plays. Though definitely useful, this is a card that will likely receive a buff to its basic values in the alpha.
The Fairy Tail is a very strong counter to units with Ability Power on them. You can force some synergy by playing such units of your own, but it's a lot better when you manage to remove the Ability Power from enemy units. A card that many opponents will be afraid of, even if you don't have it in your deck.
The Power Panther is a unit that can spiral out of control if left unchecked, but it takes some skill to properly use its mechanic. Of course, if you manage to play this in your 4 Energy turn it will immediately become a 5 / 5 / 3 unit, which is very strong already!
The Catsear is our third plant based cat card. With no Speed, but great Attack / Health this is a really strong card for defensive strategies. Playing one of these in front of your Catalyst will make it very difficult for your opponent to go really aggressive on you.
