Fractured is the first open-world sandbox MMORPG mixing action combat with fully interactable environments, appealing equally to lovers of competitive and cooperative gameplay.
Jump right into the fray from day one. Defeat your enemies through your own skill and cleverness, not equipment or level. Gather resources, craft, trade and venture into legendary travels as a solitary hero, or start a settlement with your guild and grow it into the next empire.
In Fractured, choosing where to start your journey doesn’t mean following a different series of quests in an otherwise identical game. Join the first MMO where the race you belong to has an actual impact on game mechanics, from the type of society you live in to the ways you can interact with other players.

HUMANS - TOTAL FREE WILL: No human is born good or bad. Make your choice to uphold the law or break the established order. From a righteous governor to a cruel brigand, any path is open to you on planet Syndesia. Beware, though: you’ll be subject to the rules of a feudal society, so think beforehand to the consequences of your actions!
BEASTMEN - LIVING IN HARMONY: Living on a planet overwhelmed by giant vegetation, Beastmen have developed a deep connection to nature that endowed them with super-human resilience and keen survival skills. ACTION COMBAT EVOLVED: Fractured is out to break the boundaries of the MMO genre by bringing the combat style you’ve loved in single-player Action RPGs into a complex sandbox universe. Learn to aim, dodge and master over 400 abilities and 40 unique status effects: only your skills and tactics will lead you to victory!
FULLY INTERACTABLE ENVIRONMENTS: Stuck between a clan of bandits and a raging river? Animate the waters to protect you, or freeze them over to cross to safety – then melt them to drown your foes! In Fractured, the natural elements around you can always be exploited to defeat your enemies, even when all hope seems lost.
BUILD AND GOVERN AN EMPIRE: Looking for a new home? Find a suitable location and start a settlement with your guild. As a governor, you’ll be able to guide its development into a social, trading, or military hub. Beware, though: the rise to power of your city won’t go unnoticed, so get ready to protect it from hostile raids and sieges!
Finding a broadsword in the corpse of a rat sounds a little unlikely? Forget about old RPG clichés and enter a world where every item is crafted by players. Exploit the uneven distribution of resources to get high profits when trading at faraway markets - but make sure you reach your destination alive!
SETTLE FOR SURVIVAL: Stake your claim to free land in the open world, secure it from your enemies and start your own cultivation and livestock business. Your products will never be in low demand since access to food and water is essential for survival, especially when venturing into long extra-planetary travels.
A LIVING WORLD: Wood, stone, metal, gems, herbs. Each planet is rich in some commodities and entirely lacks others. Explore the massive universe of Fractured to locate and harvest the rarest resource nodes in every region, but remember: locals might try to stop you as environment exploitation can damage a whole ecosystem!
HUNTING MATTERS: Not all resources are fine with being harvested. Fur, hides, bones, carapaces and several other key crafting components can only be obtained through PVE combat. If you’re an avid monster hunter, Tartaros will be your dreamland… or perhaps your worst nightmare.
Before starting this project, we've spent months researching the right tech to allow us to fulfill our ambitions and cut down development costs at the same time.
The choice to build the frontend of Fractured has fallen on Unity, a popular, always evolving game engine that guarantees great reliability while ensuring high development speed, coming with a very competitive pricing model that takes no revenue cut from developers.
The backend of the game is based on SpatialOS, a revolutionary world-building platform from British company Improbable that allows us to host tens of thousands of concurrent players and other entities in the same seamless universe. It integrates out of the box with Unity and relieves us of several technological burdens!
Once the Kickstarter campaign is successfully completed, Fractured will be able to join the Games Innovation Program promoted by Improbable, which will cover our server expenses while the game is in development, further reducing development costs for Dynamight Studios.

During the campaign we'll surely drop a couple more to satisfy the curiosity of the community on highly-requested topics such as town building and management.
Dynamight Studios is a financially stable company. Careful business planning, coupled with backing from the three founders and private investors, make us feel safe about the future of the project. Moreover, we already have open channels with a few large game publishers that have shown interest in Fractured.
Kickstarter can add a lot to that, though.
First of all, it will allow us to immediately add a few professionals we've already selected to the team (such as a new 3D artist, a developer, an animator and a VFX artist). This will prevent us from having to cut down on game features, ultimately giving us the chance to fulfill 100% of our vision for Fractured.
Moreover, Kickstarter lets us expand our audience, open a new line of communication with our supporters, receive further feedback on our ideas and figure out how appealing Fractured is among the crowd of MMO lovers. While not financial, these benefits are still invaluable!
The team here at Dynamight Studios features a great mix of game development veterans and young talents - all professionals first, but also gamers at heart, truly passionate about MMOs.
Our team is going to grow considerably after this Kickstarter campaign through the addition of other skilled developers and artists who share our same vision - some already selected and ready to embark in this adventure with us.

MOUNT & EQUIP SKINS: cosmetic skin rewards are not inventory items (that could be dropped on death or get stolen by other players). Instead, they are added as options to your account - so you can just reskin the piece of equipment you're wearing or the mount you're riding from an ad-hoc menu, like you would do in a MOBA. Quick and safe! ;)

Risks and challenges
Game development is a complex and risky effort, and MMOs are well known for being one of the most unforgiving products to work on.
A few years ago, small studios could only dream of working on an MMO due to extreme technological challenges to be overcome and the huge capitals required. Luckily for us - and for you, things have changed a lot since then.
Our first months working on Fractured were spent analyzing and choosing the right tech, fleshing out the design of the game, and making truly long term plans on the business, development and editorial sides.
Today, after one year and a half of work, we can say those initial efforts have paid off. Work on the game is progressing faster than expected, deadlines are met. All of this, coupled with our previous first-hand experience in MMO development, makes us truly confident we can bring Fractured to completion.
Of course, notwithstanding our planning efforts, unforeseeable incidents and issues might take place, as it usually happens with game development.
Nonetheless, our commitment to you is always to:
- Use all funds acquired on the development of Fractured
- Put the greatest efforts in meeting deadlines we've announced for testing phases and new implementations
- Keep informing you on the state of the game, of funding and of the community
- Be always in touch, like we've been so far, to continue receiving your feedback and incorporating it in our decisions
