I'm a new home accessories designer (former charity entrepreneur) and I've run several campaigns on Kickstarter to help get my line of footed table top and home decor off the ground in the past year. I love the platform~Kickstarter allows me to introduce new ideas to the market, solicit valuable feedback and make new friends!
I've returned to Kickstarter with a new idea that personally means the world to me because not only am I ceramist, I am also a cat rescuer (I've fostered dozens of kittens and helped find them new homes) and all around animal advocate. So after hearing from lots of bowl owners that they were using their two-legged bowls for their furry friends I decided to design something special for our animal pals. It just made sense.
Five charming bowls on dog or cat paws with all the same attributes as their two-legged human companion bowls. The bowls are stoneware, dishwasher and even microwave safe (sometimes kitties with colds like their stew warmed up ever so slightly). Why should our furry friends have boring bowls?! Show them you love them with chic new food and water bowls!
Unlike plastic bowls, these bowls won't harbor bacteria which gives our 4-legged friends chin acne! Ugh! Chin acne! Also, say you have a little one who needs a tiny bit of help reaching her food...voila! These bowls have lift!
We have Lennox modeling the 7" dog bowl. What?! A kitten eating out of a dog bowl!? Yep, we don't believe in encouraging boundaries for our companion animals.
Our pooch, Kiwi, is modeling the 4" cat bowl. Yes, our dog, Kiwi, is a tiny Chihuahua and yes, she only has 3 legs! She's a 3-legged dog with a 4-legged bowl and that's totally okay because she can still run in excited circles when we get home. :-)
Third up, Rashi a.k.a. Lioncat™ modeling the 6" cat bowl. Now that's one happy cat!
Milo, again! 6" cat bowl...
And lastly...no companion animal? Not a problem, these bowls are designed to help us all more thoroughly enjoy the dog days of summer!
Tiny Cat Bowl 4" diameter x 2.75" high
Small Cat Bowl 5" diameter x 3.75" high
Medium Cat Bowl 6" diameter x 4" high
Medium Dog Bowl 7" diameter x 4" high (Best for dogs no more than 40/50 pounds)
Large Dog Bowl 9" diameter x 5" high (Best for dogs above 50 pounds)
NOTE: if you'd like a combo not in the rewards, please email me and we can work it out! Some folks have multiple animal friends and it was hard to imagine all the bowl options!
Risks and challenges
As to risks: I think delivery for the bowls should be fine for October. But there is always a chance a delay could happen along the way. Since I've already designed and developed the pet food bowls, its just a question of actually making them. I've worked with (and spent time at) the same two factories for a year now (one for the bowl and one for the decaling of the name) and they both consistently deliver high-quality stoneware ceramics and are very consistent about hitting deadlines.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
