I know you all want to see photos. What’s the reason they’re not ready yet? We changed the Pack composition during the campaign to reflect some of your input. Sorry, we couldn’t address everything, but we did our best. Stefan is finishing the painting of the pieces now – and we expect to post photos within the next 1-2 days. See how to purchase Add-On Packs by CLICKING HERE.

At $1.1 MM - Small Stairs!

Smaller than the Dungeon Dressing Pack’s Upper Stairs (1 5/8” tall) and Lower Stairs (1” tall), these Small Stairs (7/8” tall) can be placed to allow entry onto a slightly raised area. For instance, you can stack two Floor pieces in the middle of a room to create a raised platform, and the Small Stair piece can form the steps up. These stairs can also be used alongside the Upper and Lower Stairs from the Dungeon Dressing Pack to create grand staircases.

At $1.1MM, every 2-Set Reward Level (or higher) will receive 1 FREE Small Stair for each set they back! So, if you back us for 5 sets -- at $1,100,000, you get 5 Small Stairs FREE (in addition to all previously unlocked free Stretch Goals). Again – thanks so much for all of your pledges, your input and your amazing enthusiasm.

I would like to suggest perhaps a way to order some of the extras individually. I am getting the 3 sets and that means ill be getting some uneven amounts of pieces (3 small stairs is what made me think of this) and would really just like 1 more to make it even since even if I did go up to 5 i would still be with an uneven amount. this would help me make a raised area in the middle of the room without having one corner just gone.

@Philomorph: Apologies, I misread your question.

@Jason I've read that, and the add-on section mentions combining different sets of the same painted or non-painted status, but I can't find any mention of a discount for mixing a painted and an unpainted add-on. The pledge calculator doesn't give one either. It's not a huge deal, I was just wondering...

    5. Andrew Hows on April 25, 2013

I'm not sure about the door beneath the stairs - I can't think of any occasion where my dungeon layouts have had doors in that location, and plenty where they haven't.

Amazing jobs guys. Super gratz! Love the dressing pack, gonna be upping my order tonight. :)

    7. Jason Andersen on April 25, 2013

@Philomorph: Jeff has stated in the comments section that you can mix add-ons and still get the two add-on price.

@Doug: The treasure pile is free (you get 1 per set that you are backing, min 2 set pledge of course), the Dungeon Dressing is a purchasable add-on.

      @Sean: Me too!

Are the Treasure Pile & Dungeon Dressing now included for 2-Set+ Backers? Or, are now just available as an add-on? The notes are a little unclear.

QUESTION: Can we order one painted add-on and on unpainted add-on and still get a "two add-on discount" of some sort. Or will that be impossible with the back-end software you are using?

      Philomorph on April 25, 2013

Zachary - yes that is possible. I've confirmed it with the devs because that's exactly what I'm doing :) 3 unpainted tile sets and a painted dressing kit.

Congratulations on your successful kickstart. I pray the the public are as excited as your backers and respond in same to this new product when it hits the market!
At some point, will you be listing what will be recieved in total for gamer rewards for each pledged amount(1,2,3,+ game tile set)? I know its showing under each stretch reward update, but would like to see the total package at end of campaign on a single page.

Can't wait to see the other images for the accessories. :)

    14. Chris Maimonides on April 25, 2013

@Jeff, any chance we will be able to get the Upper and Lower Stairs as Free Stretch Goals, or even single purchase add-ons, so that we can facilitate multi-level dungeons? I know the DD pack has them, but I don't want to have to buy 3-5 DD packs just for the stairs.

Guys, the problem with "splitting up the kit" is that it's likely all one mold, possibly two. That means for DF to sell/give away 300 secret doors, they need to mold 300 entire Dungeon dressing kits.

I'm not saying it *won't* or *can't* happen... just saying you need to acknowledge that 1) it's not as cheap as ya think, 2) it's not as easy as ya think, 3) it'd require a small amount of warehousing to do, and 4) they could get stuck with a garage full of a "lame duck" part in the kit trying to support want of working secret doors and stairwells

We also have no idea where DF will be going with these post-KS yet. Will they all be sold separately at a serious markup? Will the kits be kept together as is? There's a lot to be considered in the months after the KS that will affect their business model for *years*, and that needs to be their focus at that point. .

This is a nice addition, but personally I am finding with each new piece that is announced that you guys should really allow some kind of individual pieces add-on options. Even if not during this Kickstarter, I would like to be able to order what I want/need from our website when Game Tiles becomes publicly available for real. There are just so many pieces coming out that I know I will want more of but I won't want to buy whole add-on packs loaded with other stuff just to get one or two of it. Maybe let us put together a "build your own set" or something if ordering just one of something is too hard for you guys. I dunno. I want to be able to stock on secret doors, pillars, and small stairs (and the other stairs for that matter) in a reasonable way. That doesn't involve me having to buy 10 add-on packs for hundreds of dollars just to get it all plus a lot of extras I dont want when the total quantity of what I want would be about one add-on packs worth of stuff.

Does anyone know if it will be possible to purchase the dungeon accessory kit prepainted, if my order was for the Dungeon Grey tiles? I know I can manage to dry-brush the walls, but the detail on the smaller pieces might not be my cup of tea. I just didn't know if it was possible to mix/match paint schemes on an order.

    18. Brandon Reed on April 25, 2013

@Zoe I'd rather not see the stairs split.

    19. Zoe Brain on April 25, 2013

Suggestion for Freebies that won't break the bank...

1.2M - floor stairs down (from floor pack)
      1.4M - lower stairs(from dressing pack)
      1.6M - upper stairs(from dressing pack)
      1.8M - secret door(from dressing pack)

These will require no new mold designs, nor will they add a lot to postage or cost of sets. They might eat into sales of floor and dressing packs though, as these will be the most sought-after items.

Q: Any chance that floor pieces without walls could be made double sided for a stretch goal?

      Q. Will there be additional add-on packs at 1.2 Million?

      A. I think Stefan has a "wicked" idea -- but I am not sure quite yet.

    22. Dwarven Forge 5-time creator on April 25, 2013

      Q. Will you guys be using backerkit to manage all these extra goodies?

      A. We are using some brand new software from a very reliable source. I think you guys will be super-happy with it. They have done these types of programs for many large corporate and government institutions. And the back-end admin tools are VERY nice.

@Tim -- I hope not. BackerKit seems to have an unbelievably bad interface for backers, completely unusable for complex projects. Considering Kickstarter's horrible interface for creators, DF is in a tight spot, but I really don't think BackerKit is the right solution. Talk to the folks on Hegemonic and the "Futuristic Metal Coins" follow-up project to see if they recommend BackerKit.
(For simple projects it seems to work, but that is arguably true of the basic KS interface as well. DF isn't the most complex project I've seen, but they do have a couple dozen add-on options to deal with. It does help that each pledge level is clear and that there aren't options embedded there.)
