What is in the Expansion?
This Expansion picks up where the original game left off. You are an investigator battling the Cthulhu Minions and Horrors in a desperate attempt to defend our world from the insanity that lies Beyond the Veil!
For those new to The Cards of Cthulhu... it is a card game for 1 to 4 players. It uses the same rules for 1 player as it does for 2 to 4 players, so it is a true solitaire game, not a game adapted for solitaire play. When playing with more than one person, you play as a team against the system.

Beyond The Veil expands on the core game and gives you more of everything. More Investigators. More Minions. More Horrors. More Followers. More Items. More Gates. And a New Cult Board.
This expansion also adds a 5th Cult Board for Nyarlathotep!
Additional Minions, Horrors, and Gates are added for each Cult. This gives each Cult a different feel. Cthulhu excels at bringing Horrors into play, Nyarlathotep has an abundance of Gates, and so on.
Investigations & Cult Powers
Beyond The Veil also introduces 2 new types of cards: Investigations and Cult Powers!
Investigation cards are side adventures your Investigator and Followers can track down in order to gain valuable advantages needed to save the world. However, each Investigation has an element of danger and a harsh consequence if failed!
Cult Power cards give each Cult its own feel and mechanical abilities.
If you would like one or more of these add-ons, simply change the amount of your pledge.
For example: If you'd like the Expansion, you'd pledge $30. You then decide that you would like to have your name on a Minion or Gate card ($50) and would like 1 Booster Pack ($10). You would adjust your pledge from $30 to $90.
You can have your name and quote printed on one of the cards in the game! This was a very popular option for the first game, and we're bringing it back for the expansion! For $50, your information will appear on a Minion or Gate card (limit 40 people). For $100, your information will appear on a Horror card (limit 10 people). Please note all information must adhere to DVG's family friendly policy.
You can have your name and likeness printed on one of the cards in the game! Thank you Ken and Travis from the first game! For $300, your information will appear on an Investigator card and you can help to design the look of the character and their ability! (limit 1 person). Please note all information must adhere to DVG's family friendly policy.
For $10 you can add a Booster Pack of Coins and Dice to your pledge! These are very useful when playing with multiple players!
