The Dudeletter is expanding and entering new formats. The local short filmmaker Salvador Malo wants to make us a dozen new shorts!
We at the Dudeletter are expanding like a fart cloud in a compact car. Dudeletter.com is your stop for game, beer, music, and movie reviews, nerdy rants, and your favorite cultural dumping ground. In about 9 months, we have accumulated 50,000 unique views and are looking for more. We are expanding beyond our website, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts to strange new frontiers. One of these frontiers is video; the mighty frontier of the 1930s. Conquering such ridiculous frontiers is what Kickstarter is all about.
For those of you who know, Salvador Malo has written on the Dudeletter a few times here and there, but his genius is best seen in video form; often in erogenous slow motion. Ever since his days at Georgia Tech, Malo has made some of the funniest and goofiest videos on the local scene; funny ever to the sober among us, oh yes.
This project is to fund the first season of a dozen videos to be released on the Dudeletter. We have about four complete scripts, six in development, and a dozen ideas in formation. So we have the scripts, we have the cameras, we even have a cadre of loyal actors; nay, stars. The money will be used to fund props, scenery, costumes to make these goofy videos. Think of the bargain; so much hilarity, such a value.
Your help not only makes the ridiculousness continue and spread, but these films could star you! (in a minor, background, extra sort of way). The movies will be filmed and released once a month for the next year at which point the first season of Salvador Malo will be in the can. This is your chance to help fund this fantastic young filmmaker and every little bit can help.
