That's the last stretch goal? Ugh. Useless. Will go straight in recycling. Why can't it be something useful for the game?

    2. Meradanis on

What about the release of Kase's journal? I'm pretty sure I subscribed to the DruidCity newsletter, I did not receive any email though.

    3. Marcel, Fuji Koro Dreaming Monk

$750,000?!? Pfff...that's gonna be a tough one. Not sure were gonna make that.

Hey @pagoda79!! Haven't seen you since Hellboy! ^_^

    4. Filipa Tato

OH MY, THANK YOU!!!! Wonderful last stretch goal!!! :D

I love the dedication to integrating the lore and theme into the game.

    6. Kayla Schewe on

I am exceptionally excited about a lore book. Lore has been a huge part of this Kickstarter and has kept me excited about the game throughout the pledge period. I cannot express how excited I am for this game. I can guarantee that I will be one of the first people to help fund the sequel to this one without even having the finished product.

    7. Wolvesgaze on

Lore books are fitting end goal after doing everything to enhance playable content. If this sentiment has been expressed then add me as +1. Please account for spacing so that sleeved cards fit the game board and storage solutions.

Better than even the art book stretch goal reveal was the video - you guys took time in the middle of your campaign to appreciate the backers in an extra-special way (not just a generic email announcement saying your thanks).

    9. Peter "araziel" Cruickshanks

Would rather have engraved dice :|

    10. Thorlight

Mehhh on art book. I het that painters get them to paint the minis they way it was intended but for me nothing important.

    11. Rik Claessens on

I might be in the minority here, but I would prefer if the artbook would be optional. I’m sure it’s super beautiful, but personally I would look at it when I unwrap it and then not look at it again. The shipping box would be smaller and lighter without the book.

    12. Ben Eisner on

@Emily — Tim and I have been writing these as we go, so I know we’re both looking forward to having a chance to do both our own revisions and work with a professional editor—that said, I know I have a penchant for run-on sentences...they’re just such a good way to marry exposition to action; they’re easy to write; and they really let you push your gerunds to the limit. :)

    13. Syko on

I’m sure that we can do it. A lot of $1 backers will hopefully up their pledges in the final 48 hours. This has been such a well executed Kickstarter campaign, So excited for this game.

...which would equate to 8551 total backers.

This would be a really cool addition to the game.

As of current numbers, the average backer $ amount is approximately $87.70, so the campaign will need about 2304 new backers to hit the goal.

    16. Indeviduo

I knew it!!! Let's get it!!!

The journals are great, but I hope the entries will go through some heavy editing before printing in a beautiful book. I tried to justify the poor grammar because journal entries wouldn't be carefully written. But it seems as though all of the characters have the same affinity for run on sentences.

    18. Kelly on

Axl level, lol, oh James :)

    19. Bazz

If little Kase isn't made into a playable charcter I may cry buckets, hes far to cute :)

    20. Sheriff K on

Woah, I'd LOVE that art/lore book! (Because I've been procrastinating reading the Narrative Reveals.. shh, don't tell anyone. it'd be nice to have it all in one place to read at my leisure.)

    21. Wolf310 on

*look at it (point made ;))

    23. Wolf310 on

      Let’s do this!

      @DCG, thank you!

Do you think you can send us a PDF of the lore book before printing it? The more eyes look are it/proofread it the better :).

    24. Green Akers Games on

Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man!!!!

Love the hardback lore/artwork book idea.
Just a suggestion but could we have the game rules in it also? Would be a nice way to keep it all together.

    26. Board Game Closet

Just shared out the video! Let's go go go!

    27. Eric

@pagoda79, I couldn't agree more on both sentiments! I've been looking forward to the story updates more than I have for any other game that's done them. (Even Too Many Bones Undertow!) And those little cardboard chits do need the deluxification treatment. :-D

    28. Druid City Games 5-time creator

@Pagoda - the hit tokens serve their purpose perfectly as cardboard tokens, we do not have plans to change those.

@Syko - This is an upgrade to the artbook.

    29. Heath on

      @pagoda79 Agreed on both points!

    30. Syko on

Is this new stretch goal on top of the art book or a replacement?

    31. pagoda79

One of the few games where I actually really WANT this art and lore book.

(Fingers still crossed that one stretch goal along the way is for improved hit tokens/Champions board markers) :)
