Are you technically a grownup but don't feel like it?
Pretending to Grownup is a casual card game with 100 unique cards featuring common grownup situations. You can face these problems or use the power of your imagination to bend the rules.
Throughout the game you'll see which player is the most grownup by using the only three resources at a Grownup's disposal: time, money and energy.
However you can get a Unipegasaurus card which helps you bend the rules of being a grownup by using your imagination. (Uni-pega-saur-us)
All of the artwork is done by Megan McKay of webcomic Doodle for Food. When I discovered this comic I just fell in love with the likeable art style and wanted to base a game around it. When I thought of the Grownup hook, I contacted Megan and the game came together beautifully.
We also have some stretch goal cards being done by some of the absolute best webcomic talent out there. You'll likely recognize some of the comics below.

If nobody challenges the initial grownup card, that player keeps it as a point without the other players knowing the value. This adds a fun bluffing mechanic to the game!
A unipegasaurus is part unicorn, part pegasus and part dinosaur. This was an original creation of Megan's that was added to the game to represent imagination.

Risks and challenges
There are always a few things that could slow things down but I've been designing and publishing games for five years now and am definitely not figuring everything out for the first time.
The games are being printed with an established company and there is a nice safety bubble of time in place.
I'm a professional and my rep is on the line if I don't keep backers happy. I make games because they're great fun and I want everyone to have a really positive experience!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
