Hi, I'm game designer Jason Anarchy, I make silly card games. I remember this one time when I was 9, my mom told me that she used to make jam when she was "back home" in Newfoundland. It was a heartwarming story that I remembered into adulthood and decided to make a game out of it
*Racoons not native to Newfoundland, this is a mainlander racoon trying to blend in to steal the jam.
The main game has a casual level of depth. The Deluxe game is the "Lord Tunderin' Jesus" edition only available here. It adds a bit more complexity. You get two new types of recipe cards (in Generic, Big Jib and Best Kind variations), new ingredients, more sugar, more empty jars and more Globber Bobbers. And is that the Jam Burglar drinking Screech?
Jason Anarchy: I was raised in Southern Ontario by Newfoundlanders. I design games for a living and talk about my biceps on Twitter.
Kelly Bastow: Kelly did the art for the game. She's actually from Newfoundland but now lives in Toronto. She's a really talented artist, great with colours and super professional to work with despite how silly this whole project is. Check out her Twitter here.
My Buddy Lonny: He was kind of the Newfoundland consultant on the game (didn't stop me from just making up a bunch of stuff though). Anyway one time in college, I went grocery shopping and bought bananas. My room mate had also gone grocery shopping and also got bananas. On top of that, we already had bananas and neither of us needed to buy them in the first place. But then in walks Lonny and I'll never forget it, he goes "JESUS F****** CHRIST THAT'S A LOT OF BANANAS". That had nothing to do with Newfoundland, he's just a funny dude who's from Newfoundland that gave the game a seal of approval.

Risks and challenges
I've done several Kickstarters for games and know all the challenges and risks associated with the process. The bulk of the shipping will be handled by Ship Naked (or equivalent fulfillment company) but I'll be personally doing the Canadian shipping. I make funny games but take the order fulfillment very seriously. It's not fun if backers don't get their funny games!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
