Are you the type of Dungeons & Dragons player that just wants to sleep with everything?
Hi, I'm game designer Jason Anarchy. I make the Drinking Quest series and this is my new game!
Chuglox, Daiquirin, Bartlebut and Annoying Sidekick ARE BACK! And this time they are REALLY OUT OF SHAPE FROM ALL THE DRINKING! Except for Annoying Sidekick who is now in great shape because he's really annoying.
Drinking Quest is a really simple, quick-start RPG but when your hero dies... you chug your drink in real life to continue!
The last Kickstarter (For Journey into Draught) Added two extra quests, a coin token, a cloth map and other extras... and we're starting with that standard this time without even having to unlock them as stretch goals!
If you've never played Drinking Quest before, this is a great starting point. If you have played Drinking Quest before, then you know to expect a fun new adventure!
Please quest responsibly.
Quest 1: Rekt On Rum
Quest 2: Hangover Bay
Quest 3: Sticky Thicket
Quest 4: Fizz Fang's Freezer
Bonus Quest: Fairy Rehab (not a stretch goal, this is in the final game)
Bonus Quest: Bar Trek (not a stretch goal, this is in the final game)
Jason Anarchy - Designer, Writer, Huge Biceps
Michael Parla - Cover artist and development artist, Michael did the artwork for a game called MoonQuake Escape which I thought looked amazing and I really wanted to work with him.
Zach Shuster - Quest 1 and Hero Cards, I met this guy while drinking after a con in Edmonton. I had no idea he could draw such stylish Sword & Sorcery!
Shawna Saycocie - Quest 2 and Shop Card, Shawna draws beautiful cartoony stuff but can also make it really funny.
Ben Tobitt - Quest 3, Ben did the "Crappy Wizards" quest in the last game and I wanted him back for more! Also he's the only British artist in this list and they scientifically drink more than anyone in the world.
Ben Granoff - Quest 4, This Ben is also back from the last game. He does closer to standard Sword & Sorcery styles but it has this wonderful frantic quality about it. He drew the "Need for Mead" quest in the last game.
Deanna Laver - Bar Trek Bonus Quest, I've worked with Deanna a bunch of times and she can draw in a lot of different styles. She drew the original "Kega Man" quest in Trilogy Edition and the "Walkenguaard" Lord of the Rings parody in Journey into Draught.
Dara Gold - Hop Garden Fairy Rehab Bonus Quest, Dara drew the tea stained "Sober Up Quest" in the last game but this time she's drawing in a total different style with no tea at all! So Dara always gets to draw the Sober Up Quests and I have no idea if she likes to drink in real life.
Rachel Kahn - Alternate Cover & Map, If you backed "Pretending to Grownup" you may remember a card called CRUSH-YOUR-ENEMIES UNIPEGASAURUS. It was a really great card and I wanted to work with Rachel again. Sword & Sorcery is her jam!
Ship Naked: They're the biggest, most trusted name in Kickstarter fulfillment and I want to make sure shipping is the smoothest it can possibly be. (And no extra duty costs for international backers!)
Ad Magic - They will be manufacturing the game. They printed the last Drinking Quest game and have also printed some struggling indie games like Joking Hazard and Cards Against Humanity.
You, the backers! - Thank you for making this possible and I hope you have some legendary game nights!
Risks and challenges
The majority of the shipping will be handled by SHIP NAKED which are a company that basically just fulfills Kickstarter orders. They're the biggest and best and will make sure things go smoothly.
I'll be personally shipping the Canadian orders and the tier with signed cards. I'm really experienced with this stuff myself having run several Kickstarters already.
I'm also leaving more of a bubble of time in place than usual before shipping rewards. I want to account for unexpectedness.
The philosophy of any Kickstarter should be honesty and if anything unexpected happens, I'll update with the problem and how it's being addressed.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
