I am currently developing an dating sim Action rpg for PC. the game takes place on dream island, where our main pro-tag named Brandon awakes in kutori village, where he finds out that this island was made by the elder gods who hand pick special people around the world with the goal of making a new bloodline race. Brandon must figure out who his bride of choice will be and empower the light within eight towers around the island in order to get back home.
I started work on this project over a year ago off and on as i figured out the basic over all ideas for this game and how i wanted it to become. while getting ideas rolling for the project it first started out as a turn based rpg more based around how old school rpgs played out from the 90's but as i figured things out more and more, it started to form into more of a dating sim Action rpg that would try to redefine many systems of other rpg games into a fresh new type of Action rpg.
there's many different weapons, armor and classes to make use of in the game. just to name a few classes there's thief, druid, hunter, archer, samurai, paladin, dancer, warrior and many more! you'll make use of over 10+ party members as you wish, you'll control Brandon and be able to bring along a side party member that'll help you fight. each girl will offer different skills to help but when it comes to handling a tower it'll be purely on you alone till the job is finished.
the dating sim feature will be based around building a meter/status with those characters from stranger>friendly>friends>lovers>bride. whichever girl is with you as you fight monsters EXP will fill their meter in order to build the ranks. once one of the girls has enough to go from lover rank to bride they will let you know and from there it'll be up to you if you'll choose that person as a bride or pass in favor of someone else you got your eyes on!
the world map is open world! think in terms of how legend of zelda handled open world and what you could come across in that world. one nice feature will be the teleport stone that'll teleport you to an area you've discovered so you won't have to travel through so many areas just to get to where you left off.
I intend on the game being at least 20 hours or more of game-play, the game has over 10+ different endings based on who you choose as your bride, giving you extra replay value. along with beating the game a mystery part of the island rises from the ocean with a new tower in rush mode! which is unlocked after beating the game, rush mode will be in a way the final tower/dungeon of the story and many tough challenges await.
the team consists of mainly me, I'm a 23 year old artist. right now I'm the only member of the team and doing my part to work on the game, I'll be looking for someone to handle coding/scripts, music/sfx and voice work. which is where most funding will be going towards to complete this project.
$2000 the base overall game will be complete, these funds will go towards those who are providing work towards the project along with backer rewards.
$3000 the game will have full voice over work for the characters!
$4000 if we reach this goal the money will go towards a professional splash artist to do pieces for certain scenes in the game.

the main challenge is all the work involved in order to maintain a team and work together in making a game. while this will be a challenge to over come, it'll be worth the hardships to release a game.
along with this trying to balance time for the project will be a challenge but the goal would be to have the game complete by 2017 summer.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
