Case Update and Campaign Closing Soon

Posted by Maurice Ribble (Creator)

Last week I mentioned I was waiting for an updated version of the wooden laser cut case pieces to show up in the mail. They have arrived, and they are working great. No more samples will be needed, and I plan to order them once I get the funds from Kickstarter. Below is an image of the new cases. I've changed the side pieces to a thicker wood with holes drilled in the sides instead of using cut out for the bolts. This increases the cost a little, but makes assembly faster. Overall, the new ones are a little more expensive, but I think they look much nicer so I'm going with this upgrade.

This will be the last Kickstarter update before the campaign closes. So if you were thinking about updating your backer level to a higher level that included more bobbins or more spinning wheels this is your last reminder. Also, please put out one last reminder your friends about this Kickstarter. From experience I know in the days after this Kickstarter campaign closes there will be people asking if they can get included in the campaign and I'll have to say no. The end date on Kickstarter is a hard end date. I will be selling the Mini in my store, but that will be more expensive and later than all you early adopters on Kickstarter. So, remind your friends about the EEW Mini so they aren't one of those people who misses out.  It ends this Friday (Dec. 29) at 7:00 PM EST.

My family and I would like to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!

Darla, if you want more bobbins through this Kickstarter campaign then yes you need to change your backer level from the $60 to the $80 one.

Yes, I plan to make bobbins available for purchase from my store, but those will probably have to be purchased after the Kickstarter packages ship.

Maurice, I can't wait to teach myself to spin. Thank you for making this possible.
One question please. Do l need to upgrade to the $80 pledge for mor than the 3 bobbins with the $60 ?
Also will we be able to purchase others from your store eventually??
      Again thank you

I bet this little guy will fit into a small cooler bag (or hard-sided cooler) with room for extra padding.

Tina, there is not an option for a travel case or bag. That said, I'm sure people will come up with many solutions for this on the Ravelry forums. On past versions of my spinning wheels people had lots of solutions they found online and at local stores.
