First Shipments to our Backers

Posted by Maurice Ribble (Creator)

The first 41 EEWs are boxed and ready to ship!!  That's a huge milestone for us.  More importantly to our backers it means you will get to start using your wheels very soon.  Instead of waiting until we had all the EEWs assembled and read to ship, we decided to sent them out in smaller batches as we finished them.  This way some people get to enjoy their wheels sooner, but nobody's wheel ships latter than if we had waited until they were all assembled and shipped them all at the same time.  You will get an email letting you know your package has been shipped.  This first batch of 41 people should get their email in the next 1-2 days.

We've been working very hard to ship everything by the end of August, which was our initial target when we launched this Kickstarter campaign.  We really want to be one of the Kickstarter projects that ships on time.  Just how rare is shipping on time?  Here's a story from CNN that says only 16% of the 50 projects they investigated shipped on time.

We still have a lot more work left.  Namely shipping packages to the other 197 backers we have.  Thanks for all the awesome support!

Tony, for this first shipment we are mostly shipping backers who didn't ask for the extra bobbins because I forgot to get extra bobbins in the first order of laser cut pieces. In future shipments we plan to go by backer number.

That's awesome to hear! You guys are the best! Could you share how you are determining the order they are shipped in? Such as when they backed the project vs Alphabetical? Only curious and we'll be happy to just get it regardless of the order.
