Assembly Started

Assembly of the Electric Eel Wheels for our Kickstarter backers has started!  They are being assembled in Westborough, Massachusetts.  This is just a short drive from our home.  It will take a few months to get all the wheels assembled so we're still on track to ship in August.  We have worked with this assembler before and know he does good work.

Below are a few jigs being setup to speed up assembly.

Ann, we are still doing all the shipping so we'll have a huge number of boxes and parts when shipping starts. We'll post some picks when we get to that stage. :-)

I too had visions of the Ribble living room filled with boxes and parts on the coffee table but I suspect this way will result in a superior product. Thanks for the update!

Sorry, if you thought we were hand making each wheel. We certainly designed it and built the first prototypes, but we just don't have time to build each one. I did put a section in the campaign called "How is the Electric Eel Wheel Made" that goes into a quite a bit of detail. Nothing has changed from that plan.

I thought you would be making all the EEW's since you made the original.
