HI William & Robert, just a quick note. there are many different settings that you can choose from to change the way that you fly the shuttle. One of the options may better suite someone who has more experience flying. Actually one of our engineers is a helicopter hobbyist and assisted in the control options so i am sure there will be something in there that will suit your needs. After the holidays i will have him contact you with more information on which setting may be best for experience flyers. cheers, julie

i agree robert. I can barely fly it because i'm used to regular helo's

i think i will put a big red dot on the front so i can tell which way it is facing because the controls seem laid out like you have to know which way is facing forward

Got mine on Sunday, and it's a great little device. Very good quality, and when I can fly it, it seems to do well. The only problem I have is that I fly regular RC helicopters and unfortunately that doesn't lend itself well to the control layout in the application. Is there any chance of having an 'expert' mode to fly in?

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't fly regular or RC helicopters, I gave it to a next door neighbor kid and they had a blast with it.

@ William, it will be shipping by air mail. If you have not received it, you will very shortly as all of the shuttles in have been shipped (apart from one which we are still waiting for the address and of course the limited addition model) If you would like we can also check the tracking for you, just email for assistance

@ Anderson- This is not good? i am very sorry for this! I will send the replacement asap.
Each product should have one battery inside which is already connected. Originally we were going to detach it because air mail is quite strict about sending lithium batteries however in the end we got a special letter from the battery supplier which allows us to easily send them without any issues.

      Hi Dream Cheeky,
just recieved my istrike shuttle today . looks great!
but i'm missing the "battery hatch" . damn it looks awful with the wires all exposed :(
can you send me out a replacement battery hatch asap??
also , were we supposed to get one or two batteries? my battery came inside the istrike shuttle , all connected.. i'm afraid it's a testers unit and not a new one?
      please advise!

Having a lot of fun with the shuttle so far! Very lightweight yet tough. Battery only seems to last about 5 minutes before losing thrust though; is this normal?

    9. William Griffith on December 10, 2012

I'm just wondering how it will ship (US based).

      Excited to get mine!
How soon will replacement parts be available?
I terrorize my office mates with the cheap little syma helos and regularly/accidentally crash them into cubicle walls, desks, monitors, etc and have to replace props, struts, etc...
Would hate to do that with my iStrike and not be able to fix it.

      Hi Ina,

thank you for your message. there will be a developers SDK available. we are working on putting that package together now with instructions on the communication to the physical device. I hope to be able to post it before the project ends! regarding the ball dropping, there is video footage in the section called "the journey" if you woud like something of more detail please let me know and i will try and upload some more for you.

    23. Ina Yosun Chang (formerly, Ina Centaur) on November 6, 2012

Any footage of how the ball drop occurs? Will there be a developer SDK?

    24. Dream Cheeky Creator on October 28, 2012

Hi Geoffrey, thanks for your comment. Yes we are opening the protocol so others can develop their own apps. We are encouraging it and will support in the development as well!

    25. Geoffrey Thomas on October 28, 2012

Are you planning on opening up the wireless command protocol so that third party apps for PC and Mac can be made?

Backer with one concern. It says the drone connects to my iDevice via bluetooth. I understand BT has limited range. What's the range the drone can travel before it disconnects from my iPhone?
