Wii U Achieved, Game Extension in Detail, & New Trailer!
Hi Kickstarters and Cyberpunks,
Together, we’ve made it again! Our Wii U Stretch Goal has been attained, thanks to Kickstarter (£25,488) and PayPal (£514) combined. We are thrilled beyond words! Now… can we strike through to the next goal?
Next Stretch Goal in Detail: Unique Armor Types and Game Extension
We’ve decided to elaborate more on the Game Extension Stretch Goal, to give you a better idea as to what reaching or not reaching the goal would mean. First of all, it is important to point out that the game, even without the Stretch Goal, will be consistent and strong and will not lack anything important. The storyline, as well as the gameplay and content, works well as currently planned. So don’t worry if we don’t make it! As we said before, we are already excited about our team’s progress and the funds raised so far, which will definitely help ensure a smoother development process and create a richer game.
Now, what the extension WILL bring. We will add four new armor types, which means:
Each suit/armor offers a new cool visual skin for Dex (with a complete new set of animation sprites), which will greatly enhance the aesthetic diversity of the game.
One more aesthetic point. We will allow player to colorize parts of the armors through a simple selection process. We cannot reveal the details yet, but you can expect something in this vein: choose one of the four armor types, and then choose the color for your hood, boots, neon stripes, and decos. Within reason, that should mean about 2-5 colorable parts for each armor, with a choice of several colors for each. If you like customizing your character with unique visual details, this feature will bring you hours upon hours of enjoyment! (Okay, maybe not, but it’s still a cool option!).
Each armor will have specific gameplay parameters (bonus HP; damage reduction for melee/ranged/energy/explosions; movement bonuses; and special drawbacks – final parameters TBD).
Additionally, each armor will have some unique ability, either active or passive. Again, the exact details will depend on community feedback, design analysis, and the implementation process, but some possible suit/armor abilities are: damage reflection, toxic/gas/chemical immunity, grappling hook, improved blocking (melee blocks could thus possibly be used to protect even against ranged projectiles), new special combat moves and combos, and possibly a hacker suit with a special tweak for cyberspace (Special firewall? Unique avatar? New skill?). These features will be decided later in development, but we will work closely with the community on making the final suit/armor set both well-balanced and interesting.
We will add new game areas and extend existing ones to offer new gameplay possibilities and good utilization of the new armors, as well as to simply extend the game length. This is difficult to elaborate in detail until we have the final armor preset done. What we can definitely promise now is a unique side mission added for each armor type – a mission to acquire the given armor (or its parts, to be combined together later). That means four new side missions added!
The financial strength we gain by reaching the 31k GBP Stretch Goals will cover about two additional months of game development, which, needless to say, will also be used to improve the game as a whole.
Considering the additional development hours we will gain, we’ll hold a community poll as to whether we should strive to deliver the game on its original schedule, which would mean publishing the extension as post-release DLC (free for all backers) or build the extension organically into the game (thereby creating a better game, but prolonging the development time by about 2-3 months). We ourselves are more into option B (organically extending the game); however, if the community votes significantly towards the DLC-variant, we will go along with that.

To celebrate reaching the Wii U Stretch Goal and to blow more wind into our sails for the last two days of our campaign, we have prepared a new trailer – for you, our amazing community, to enjoy, and also in hopes of drawing the attention of more fans and journalists! In the trailer, you can see some new locations (which you saw in our latest screenshot pack) in motion, plus some other nice new stuff not yet released anywhere!

Today is our last indie showcase during our Kickstarter campaign. Again, we decided to pick a project that interests us and may interest you. This time, we are happy to introduce a very cool-looking CCG and roguelike RPG mix, Hand of Fate.
An intriguing concept comes to life with Hand of Fate. Playing the card game prepares the adventure – the traps, the enemies, the loot. The player then inhabits a character from one of the cards and plays the game like a third-person Action RPG. This unique combination drew our attention. If you are CCG/RPG/fantasy roguelike fan, check this out. Hand of Fate has raised over 86% of its funding goal now and has 60 more hours to go. Game download starts at $20.
Only two days remain for us. For now, we must thank you profusely – however things end up, we already have a super positive result! With your support, we managed to get this far, raising much more than we asked for and gaining a solid community in the process! So thank you, thank you, thank you!
