I have come to find that college is the ultimate double sword in the United States. Social pressure gives it undeniable allure, but It no longer promises the job security it once did. While leaving a huge percentage of young americans jaded with the system and in overwhelming debt.
TEACH ME NOTHING follows a group of college seniors during their last term of college. It covers the myriad of issues they face. It is an inside look into the pitfalls the 2012 graduating class face due to the current economic climate.

Over the last three months and continuing through June the TEACH ME NOTHING team have been following and interviewing a widely different group of students. Many come from different backgrounds; different economic situations, different cultural groups and social strata. This film is an in depth take on the pros and cons of college, and an overall look at the modern american college experience. We the viewer, along with the students, are pushed to answer difficult questions, confronting the very real economic climate and the inevitable hardships they face. Ultimately a harsh, yet realistic conclusion is made regarding the state of the american college system.
We hope to launch the film in August of 2012, we have already come so far on production but we need YOUR HELP to get to the finish line and to share the awesome result of the hard work and collaboration of our subjects and filmmaking team.
ABOUT THE MAKING OF THE FILM
The first time I came and visited the USA I had a very difficult time adapting, I met so many kind people but it felt like I was in an alien place, surrounded by acquaintances. Over the past three years I have witnessed the growth of these people I now regard as close friends. I came to realise, while pondering what I should focus my creative energy on, is that the people around me are the perfect subjects. This film follows some of the most interesting people I have had the pleasure of knowing, as they all face one common hurdle. I believe the result will be a highly emotional and enlightening experience, opening eyes to the front line of a commonly debated subject - the american college system.
I have been witness to the great personal sacrifice these friends and students have undertaken. It is my belief in the work they do, as well as their commitment to this documentary, that fuels my desire to do their stories justice.
WHY ARE WE FUNDRAISING?
I need help! I am not quite finished shooting yet and have run out of money haha. I still need pay for further equipment rentals, and if I am able to raise enough, get some professional post production work done on the final cut. I would also like to send my movie to festivals when it is completed, and every festival submission has a fee.
Here are some of the things i still need to complete:
• Further Production Costs eg. equipment hire, location shooting.
• Color Correction
• Professional Sound Mix and sound design.
• Graphics are being developed by several talented designers.
• Music composition and licensing.
• Outreach Working with a social media to get the word out about the film and develop meaningful future screening events.
