We've unlocked The Neon City | Tokyo 2185 City Sourcebook!!

Thanks to all of you brilliant CYBERPUNKS, we've unlocked our FOURTH stretch goal!

Check out the short trailer above for the Tokyo 2185 Sourcebook!

The brutal Japanese Civil War of 2171-2172 saw families torn apart as brothers fought on separate sides, split by different ideologies.

Unhappy with the direction technology and megacorporations were leading humanity, the Isolationists wished to return to the Sakoku policy and close off Japan to the outside world, while the Futurists believed the key to Japan's continued survival was in adapting to the new world.

This short but deadly war, barely won by the Futurists, left Tokyo as a city scared by conflict and overran by gangsters. Knowing that these gangsters, in particular the Watanbe Yakuza had a vice like grip on Tokyo, most megacorporations moved their Japanese HQs to Kyoto Megacity.

Where will the CYBERPUNKS land in this uneasy peace? If you know where to look, there's plenty of Wonlongs to be made in a city ran by criminals on the brink of a renewed civil war.

The Neon City | Tokyo 2185 City Sourcebook will be a free PDF to all backers at every pledge level!

You can add-on a softcover of the Sourcebook for £20 (head over to the campaign page and read the Add-on section for details on how to do that)

Next stop: Manhattan!

I can't thank you all enough! It's because of all of you sharing the project that we've come this far! Keep on sharing the project and we'll unlock The Capital of the World | Manhattan 2185 in no time at all!

£100000 Stretch Reward: British Insurgency | London 2185 Sourcebook

If we hit this VERY ambitious stretch goal, we will complete our Three Cities Sourcebook trilogy by honouring our home country, Britain.

British Insurgency | London 2185 will focus on the ongoing corporate war waging in the London of 2185.

We will also include the option to bundle all three sourcebooks together as a 300 page hardback with special cover art by Klaus Wittmann! How cool is that?!

Thanks again for your continued support and enthusiasm! Stay AWESOME!

Will there be a short overview of all the major countries and what's their state? Apart from having detailed information about a few cities it would be important to know what's happening elsewhere in the world.... at least for the big regions... russia, china, japan, europa, africa, south america or something. Also to prevent that we build stuff in our campaigns and then you suddenly publish a new sourcebook with opposing facts. :D

Thanks Lukas, we used a Japanese voiceover professional for the voiceover in the trailer. He usually does corporate video voiceovers for Japanese clients in both English and Japanese, but we found him online and thought he was perfect for the voice of Kaito!
@snon and Lukas, they will be in the hardcover exactly as Lukas predicted

@DTG: I did also notice how the accent in the trailer is easily recognisable. Not just in how certain letters are pronounced, but also in the rhythm of the Japanese words and names. This way of equally stressing every syllable is rather unfamiliar to European tongues.

I think they would do well as chapter titles in the hardcover.

      HC:
What about the 3 SC covers?

@Kiraah We want the Tokyo sourcebook to be as authentic, and culturally correct as possible! We think we've found the perfect author who is an expert in Tokyo and Japanese Culture. He has lived in Tokyo for over a decade, and is married to a Japanese woman who was born and raised in Tokyo itself!
@Lukas Thank you very much! You guys smashed the stretch goal so quickly we ALMOST didn't have time to finish the trailer! 100000 longs is fast approaching!
@snon there will only be one awesome cover for the Cities Hardback when we unlock it!

This is too cool. Do you guys have a consultant for the Japanese cultural stuff that’ll be in the book? It’d be cool to get a traditionalist flavor from the Yakuza groups the party might deal with.

I’m very hype for the Manhattan book as I’d like for my group to kind of jet set between Nuevo Angeles (old LA is probably half underwater, NYC/Manhattan, and the other cities. I think the way the campaign is going it’ll make it there.

Yush! Very nice trailer, by the way.

Also now we just HAVE to reach those 100k longs, don't we.

      Cities HC version:
Do you consider then also a limited KSversion for this or at least:
Will this get then a unique cover & all SC cover will be added in it
      ?

Thanks guys! @Matt you're totally right! There are so many ways to include Japanese Civil War Veterans, or the Watanabe Yakuza in San Francisco if you wanted to, these sourcebooks really add something to every game, even if you don't intend on running a game IN that location!

That's awesome! I'm really looking forward to the various settings. I love getting a sense of what's happening in the rest of the world. Even if our game never winds up in Tokyo, I can pull in bits and pieces to make the world deeper and more real.
