We are SO close to £30k!

We are so close to £30k that we could seriously pass it any hour now! That being said, this daily update is overdue and it can't wait any longer!

You guys have been so great in sharing the project and spreading the word that we've decided to include the names of every single backer in the Core Rulebook (unless they opt out)! We could not have gotten this far without you, and you guys have EARNED you spot in the credits of the book!

Vices

You may be familiar with D&D 5e's Personality Trait/Ideals/Bonds/Flaws system. If you're not, I'll briefly explain. During character creation, you rolled on various tables to generate some basic personality features of your character. You rolled for a Personality Trait, an Ideal, a Bond, and a Flaw.

We've taken that system and made it a little more bleak.

Carbon 2185 will feature a similar system, but this time, you only roll for your character's vice, and everyone has a vice in 2185. During our playtest, we had a 2d20 table on which to roll, the Core Rulebook will features 1d100 vices.

Take a look at the vices from the playtest, and let us know which is your favourite

Ah right, the roll rules. Comes from me first reading the update, then doing something else, then coming back to write my comment. By then I had forgot about that part. XD

Thanks Lukas, how could we have not included "I never asked for this"?? Yeah that's a typo. This is from the first playtest doc that was not copyedited so there are a few. 41 is not possible with 2d20, but we included not anyway in case someone wanted to manually pick it.
As you can see from the first paragraph, you can roll three times and pick your favourite, or alternatively you can just pick one you like if your GM is fine with that

Thanks T.R. Knight, you backers have done so much so far to help the campaign that it is only right to include you all in the book!

"I never asked for this." :D Love it!

Slight typo with #36: "It it..." should probably be "If it..." And how do you reach a 41 with 2d20? Unless there are some possible modifiers.

A nice selection overall. And very fitting. I hope you allow for a reroll though in case a player rolls something he just can't picture for his character. We're in this games for fun after all.

Wonderful to see the campaign going so well. Quite nice of you to honor all the backers with their names in the book.
