Two updates in one day?! Well, we have a lot to say, and a lot of people have been asking about this stuff, also, we have the GM Screen image as promised!

GM Screen!

Our GM Screen image was stolen in a data heist by a group of hackers sporting mohawks and all the latest cybernetic upgrades, so we placed a 10 000₩ bounty on the data!

A local group of less than reputable guns-for-hire took the job and managed to retrieve the data within the contracted timeframe, and we are here showing you all at long last, the GM Screen Add-on!

To add the GM Screen to your pledge, simply increase your pledge amount by £30. After the campaign ends, we'll ask you which Add-ons you want. These will ship at the same time as the Core Rulebooks.

Classes!

Carbon 2185 features SIX classes (each with multiple subclasses, but we'll cover that in a later update) that we'll briefly go over for you all!

Daimyo. These are the big boys. Natural leaders, and Heavy Weapons experts. Don't be surprised to see one of these tanks carrying around a minigun as if it were an uzi.

Doc. Docs are trained healers who feature the latest in first aid implants, but don't let their scrubs fool you, these guys know exactly where to target on your body to deal maximum damage.

Enforcer. The classic soldier. An all rounder class who is the backbone of any ragtag group. Enforcers can be anything from a Sniper laying prone 600ft. from  their target, to a swordsman wielding a katana in melee combat.

Hacker. Utilising Exploits, Hackers control the battlefield. They can remotely explode enemy grenades, jam communications, or cause whole areas to blackout.

Investigator. When looking for the kidnapped children of moguls, or for connecting the dots, you need an Investigator on your team.

Scoundrel. The scoundrel is fast on her feet and deals extra damage to surprised enemies, or when attacking while moving. Scoundrels are the bane of autotracking guns, you can't hit what never stays still.

Ageing!

Here we have a preview of the Ageing mechanic from the playtest!

For the GM screen, I understand you want to show off you beautiful artwork, but weaving in useful player information goes a long way for gaming. Possible actions, conditions, cover modifiers, and damage types all come to mind as useful for players. Also, running numbers across the top of the screen can be used for initiative tracking. Those could be mirror imaged on the top of the GM side as well.

No sweat. I've actually shot a few contests in light fog and can readily attest for the influence it has. A pretty much constant smog cover in a city similar to what we see today in for example some Chinese sprawls will reduce the range at which you can hit something with a reasonable chance of success quite distinctly.

While fixer will be an investigator subclass, with the right combination of background generation skills, you can build a socialite from any of the classes. Skills such as Presence, which allows you to attempt to blend in seamlessly to any social situation

I sort of figured it was going to go under investigator ... but not all socialites with friends of friends are good investigators.

But I suppose you could say that instead of being an information broker via investigation, they’re an information broker via social gossip and/or street gossip and/or industry gossip.

Same with how they have so many friends of friends ... investigators probably meet a lot of people via investigation... so a fixer would just leverage that. And the player can probably reskinning those mechanics.

It's one of those rare occasions where we've had to take a little artist licensing with realism to make it a more enjoyable and balanced playing experience. Thanks for understanding my dude

Fair enough about the ranges. And thanks for the clarification!

John, Snon got it in one! We'll take a look at the subclasses in a future update.
Lukas, we know 600ft isn't very far for a sniper, but we've balanced the range on weapons to make it a little more fun and fluid in game. Also, with the extreme smog, visibility tends to max out at around 1000ft even on the best of days.
The Hacker has a subclass that fills the traditional role of mechanic. The Daimyo also features several mechanic based skills as class skills.
Snon, the GM Screen is the sturdy cardboard type indeed, and we'll try to squeeze as much cool information as possible on the GM side.
It will be not include anything else. We're a very small contact and we are offering the GM Screen incredibly close to what it costs us, if we were to lower the price, we wouldn't be able to offer it at all

So the GMscreen is the very sturdy cardboard type -at that price-?

Will it also include some sturdy foiled printed fact sheets for character generation, random tables, gear data -e.g. all the useful stuff which won't make it on the screen-?

      @John
Fixer may be the charismatic well connected subclass of an Investigator

But since you already mentioned it, John: No mechanic class?

(Also, a sniper at 600ft? It sure is nice if you can get that close, but being able to hit from that distance is nothing special. Sorry, former Swiss soldier and still amateur competitive shooter can't keep my mouth shut again.)

It seems like you’re missing a very important cyberpunk archetype class:

      The Fixer

(meaning socially connected, not mechanically inclined)

Any chance you’ll ... uh ... remedy that oversight?

Never mind. I see that it automatically pledges in pounds, and then converts it.

OK. So, converting pounds to dollars, I come up with $38.60. Not sure if that will change. Should I just add $40?
