You guys are amazing!

Thanks to all of you, in just 41 hours we've not only funded, but have unlocked our first stretch goal!

We've unlocked the "More Art" stretch goal, which means that Carbon 2185 will include THREE new double page art pieces by Klaus Wittmann inside the Core Rulebook!

How cool is that?!

Above is one of the pieces we already have inside, and features three SFPD Retirement Agents hunting down a pleasure Synth who has overcome her programming and made an attempt for freedom. Will three be enough to put her down? Did we mention that you can PLAY as a Synth in 2185?

Dice!

That's right, the much anticipated Carbon 2185 polyhedral dice finally have an image! We were able to steal back this image, and are still working on getting the GM Screen. Anyone know any good hackers? We have the Wonlongs to pay

You know how more than 9 out of 10 of my characters for the last few years came to be?

I came upon a really cool picture of a character and thought to myself "Dang, that's nice! I want to play that. What kind of character is this? What's his/her background?" and worked from there.
And usually those are the characters I enjoy the most.

That too is the power of good art.

Lukas, we couldn't have said it better ourselves!
It's also important to help set what TYPE of Cyberpunk the game is, since it is a very diverse genre in tone and style. Words can only go so far in a TTRPG Rulebook, art is essentially!

      It is kinda fitting.

As for the art: Now this is a stretchgoal that really adds value! With cyberpunk rpgs, it's really important to get that art out to the GMs and players to really set the mood. We all have somewhat of a picture for medieval settings, high fantasy settings, space settings and the like through mass media. Cyberpunk is a bit harder because there are actually less widely known series and works of that genre. Dredd works, GitS obviously works and of course there's Blade Runner. And Johnny Mnemonic, for those of us old enough. Then there's things like Netrunner and Neuromancer, but those will be rather obscure for a majority of people. Overall, the amount of well known works is considerably lower. And thus the importance of artwork in such rpgs is higher. Especially since Cyberpunk very much lives through images.

Thanks Silverwing! We love how the dice look! The similarities to Deus Ex wasn't a conscious decision, but perhaps it was subconscious

I really like the black/yellow "Deus Ex" colour scheme on the dice/ltd edition book.
