With just one week left, I'm really excited to be able to add one last reward!
As with the top-tier commission rewards (which have all now been taken), you will be able to work with me to create your own Welsh Dragon. Your Dragon (rendered as highly-detailed, realistic, full-colour digital painting in the style of the image below) will have pride of place on the front cover of the finished book.
This reward, the "Cover Dragon" is now available, but of course there can only be ONE of them!

UPDATE: Extra Reward Added:
Everyone who backs this project at the £15 level and above will now also receive, in addition to their existing rewards, a set of 3 full-colour bookmarks. These are exclusive to Kickstarter and will not be available elsewhere!
The Story So Far...
Earlier this year, with the support of Kickstarter backers, I published the first book in the Dragons of Wales series: Dragons of Wales, Volume One: South Wales. This illustrated book described the many species of tiny Dragons living secret, unseen lives all around us today in Wales.

Early next year, I'll be launching a new Kickstarter campaign to fund Volume Two: North Wales.
Before then, however, I wanted to offer something a little bit different.
Drawings of Dragons (Lluniau O Ddreigiau in Welsh) will be a sketchbook. Packed full of my colour sketches, doodles, notes and ideas for Dragons.

Some of the sketches will evolve into Dragons for Volumes Two, Three and Four of the 'proper' books, others will only ever be seen here. Many of the sketches and paintings in this book have never been shared on social media or my website before. The first time anyone will see them will be in the Drawings of Dragons sketchbook.

This is an opportunity to look behind the scenes, to see what goes into creating the finished artwork for my books. It also shows how diverse, colourful and unusual Welsh Dragons can be!

You'll get to see the creative process from the beginning, as rough sketches take shape and evolve and develop into weird (and hopefully wonderful) elusive Welsh Dragons.

For my last Kickstarter campaign I gave my highest-tier backer the chance to name their own Dragon. This time, I'm going one step further.

You can now commission a Dragon of your own, for inclusion in the Drawings of Dragons sketchbook! You'll be able to describe exactly the sort of Dragon you'd like to see: what it looks like, where it lives, how it behaves, what it eats, and what it's called. I'll then create a unique illustration, using your ideas.

As well as seeing your very own Dragon in print, you will also receive the original hand-drawn ink illustration, and a personalised inscription in your copy of the book, thanking you for your support and ideas.

I was amazed by the positive response to my first book, and by the generous support shown by so many people from around the world. I'm hoping that you will also enjoy this book of sketches, doodles and paintings.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my project. It would be fantastic if you decide to support it and you can also help to make this sketchbook a reality by telling all the Dragon-lovers in your life about it too!
Rewards.
Please Note: If you would like additional copies of the Drawings of Dragons Sketchbook, beyond the quantity included with your reward, or if you would like a copy of the first Dragons of Wales book, simply add £10 per book to your total pledge amount.
At the end of the campaign, you will receive a survey in which you can specify which additional books you would like.

Update:
I'm happy (and slightly amazed) to say that this project achieved full-funding after just four days, so I've now added two Stretch-Goals:

I've decided to keep these first two stretch-goals nice and simple, with the aim of giving my backers more of what they want: Dragons!
Each of these two stretch-goals will add an additional TEN pages to the currently 80-page book. These pages will contain entirely new, never-seen-before, full-colour art, created exclusively for the stretch-goals. In other words: MORE DRAGONS.

So if, like me, you think you can never have too many Dragons, this is a great opportunity to help make this project even bigger and better.

Risks and challenges
Creating any book like this is always challenging and time-consuming. However, I have proven track-record, having already delivered my first Kickstarter-funded book on-time and having received an overwhelming, positive response to it. Additionally, with over 20 years' experience as a professional designer and illustrator, I know what is required to deliver projects like this successfully.
