We are setting up an immersive, fantasy role playing summer camp. Our goal is to build an inclusive community where campers develop interpersonal skills and navigate conflict. We do this by creating a game world that encourages collaboration and provides campers with meaningful, consequential choices as well as immediate feedback from peers and mentors. The kids get to shape the story with their actions and learn to take responsibility for those choices - both good and bad.
We have already had a successful test of our game systems and model and are raising funds to host a weekend long, overnight event with our core audience of teens aged 13 to 17... and by donating to our campaign, you can reserve a spot at the event for your teen!
Currently, we are finalizing details with a 250 Acre camp in Spencer, MA to host our Summer 2018 adventure.
Risks and challenges
We have secured a site for our weekend adventure and are in the process of insuring ourselves to meet the site owner's requirements.
We're confident that our model of non-traditional education can provide essential skills to teens in a way that is engaging, entertaining, and effective. The biggest challenge is getting our message out to the people who never thought that something like this could exist. The more people who share and contribute to this, the easier it will be to overcome that challenge.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
