Visions of Class Strife: Playing cards inspired by steampunk culture. Printed by USPCC
More Face Cards in the Updates:
Are you a fan of steampunk artwork? Do you like playing card games with poker cards? Visions of Class Strife is a deck of poker cards with a steampunk theme. But you’re getting more than a deck of cards. This project has beautiful artwork and interesting characters, but above all it has a story.
Just like in real life, sometimes people are connected in subtle ways. Every character has their own life, and every character is linked with the others.
The Back Design:
The design on the back of all the cards shows a fuse glowing and smoking inside its glass tube. This is emblematic of a fail-safe fuse, a fuse that blazes brightly due to a current overload and burns out in order to save the rest of the circuit from damage.
The pressure is building in our walled city of Victoria and soon the fuse may blaze out.

Tea Explanation Chart:
Detailed descriptions coming soon!
Bombastic Cafe has agreed to let us privately label our tea pledge levels through their store front and suppliers. This enabled us to pick from a selection of 800 teas. We are busy creating custom labels, descriptions and packaging to bring this story to life. If you can't wait for our kickstarter to complete then head over to www.bombasticcafe.com and order from them directly. Their retail location should be opening in May and the cafe portion will open around the middle of summer. However the custom labels and packaging are a kickstarter promotion only!
Localization: We have done our best to buy from local sources, But I will let you be the judge of that. Remember that some things are not produced locally, so we will buy as close to the source/producer as possible. (How did we do?)

Creating custom decks of cards has been done before. Heck, even steampunk poker cards have been done before. But we’re offering something more. We’re offering a journey with each of these decks, an entire world that we want you to see and read about. This deck of cards is supposed to introduce each of these characters and how they’re related. We want this to be the first step towards something even larger.
The key to getting these cards physically made is good communication with the U.S. manufacturers we want to use. We’re going to work hard to make sure they follow through on their commitments so we can follow through on ours.
We’re currently done designing the backs of the cards as well as the aces and numbers for every suit. The face cards are where the meat of this project is. We’re still working on the artwork for each character, but funding this project will ensure every character is finished. But we want to not only give you sweet looking characters, want to tell you something interesting about them. The more stretch goals we reach, the more back story you'll be able to get.
