For 66 years, the Miasma has been slowly eating away at the World. This led to a violent schism in humanity, leading to the formation of six factions with extreme and diametrically opposing agendas. On this Wounded Earth, the unearthing of ancient and forbidden secrets led to the development of weird technology, while eldritch beings slowly plunge us into the unknowable. With the world powers ready to go at each other’s throats, the only thing keeping us from falling over the edge is the Minerva Initiative, a secret multi-lateral organization seeking to understand these mysteries and, hopefully, put an end to the horrors they beget. This is the end of history; this is the Eldritch Century.
Eldritch Century is fully compatible with the 5e ruleset including the stats, powers and abilities. In addition the book details the Draco System. In this system, each character is created following a series of prompts based on the setting. We call this character creation concept the Exegesis System. This helps define where they are from, who they meet and establishes their Paths. The Paths are what gives each character their abilities, Powers and uses of their Effort Slots. A player may be able to take up to 3 Paths depending on their decisions during character creation. The Power System is freeform, and each Faction has their own style, which can be shaped on the run. As a result, a Sino Siberian that takes the Teslamancer path but had to endure a long bureaucratic process will be different from a Teslamancer that got into the Sino-Siberian Mandate party from childhood.
Welcome to the Wounded Earth. The year is 1984, 66 years after the Miasma appeared in the Argonne forest, wiping one third of the American Expeditionary Force and driving the Great War to an abrupt cease-fire. The War to End All Wars brought the world to an entire new kind of conflict. The gaping wound of the Miasma splits land and people alike, and extreme ideologies set humanity against itself.
The Miasma is a thick fog that descended into the Argonne forest in 1918, just as the Americans were pushing for a final offensive in Europe that would bring an end to a war that had lasted for four years, causing millions of casualties. The fog remained still. Nothing that went in there ever came back. Thousands of soldiers gone overnight. The Central Powers and the Allies accused each other of using a new kind of Chemical weapon. Then, the war came to an End. Peace was signed, and everyone just moved on. The fog bank remained there, unmovable, through the years, until one day it started growing. The fog advanced, erasing the European landmass and its people, spreading through the continent. Whoever remained in the Miasma became insane, corrupted or deformed in some way. Horrific beings lurked within it.
As time went by, weird technology was unearthed by the Factions. This drove technological development forward, while also increasing the rift between them, eliminating the need of cooperation and driving the need of secrecy. These technological developments shaped landscape and culture, but also placed humanity at the hands of eldritch forces that remain unfathomable.

Eldritch Century is fully compatible with 5th edition. The monsters stats, weapons and powers adapt directly. For character creation, the different backgrounds and Paths can be used as races and classes for 5e games with no modification.
The Draco System is based on the 5e ruleset. The core mechanic is: you roll a d20 + modifiers against a Difficulty Class. You have the same 6 attribute scores and a few new skills to represent the setting. The three main changes are in the Character creation, called the Exegesis System, how the Powers work and the Effort System where every Path has access to Effort Slots that fuel their abilities.
In the Exegesis System for character creation, the player answers a series of prompts related to the setting. These prompts allow them to build the background of their character, making them ingrained into the world.
They must choose a place of birth and a series of events with decisions that will inform on the lives of the characters. The choices the players make here will also limit which kind of Paths they might be able to take. For example: in order to take the Monad path of the Sino-Siberian Mandate, their character must have entered a Monadist Monastery in their past. This allows for all characters to have a starting point which they can expand as much as they want and that works as an introduction to the world of Eldritch Century.
The Faction and place of birth will define how they interact with its people, technology and places and the modifiers to their ability scores. The first event and decision will allow access to special abilities and skills. This will also help them define their first Power Paths. After this, they will face their second event and decision which can open special Faction Paths. In the end, they will define their status in the Faction and a personal objective.
Paths define the abilities, Powers and skills a character develops. They can be general Paths that all characters have access to, like the Versatile Path which focuses on skills or the Shield Path that focuses on defensive abilities. They can be Faction-specific, where you get access to skills, feats and abilities that can only be obtained in a Faction. A Dynamist's skill set involves manipulating the forces of physics, and their Path will reflect it; while a Dynasty Guard from the Sino Siberian Mandate will focus on defensive abilities and using heavy weapons.
A character can pick up to 3 Paths during the character creation process. This includes at least one generic Path and up to two Faction-specific Paths. The third Path can be taken at a later time. Once the 3 Paths are defined, additional Paths can only be earned through gameplay, and at the GM’s discretion.
For example: Ashley wants to make a Dynamist. Using the Exegesis System, she decides the character is from New Albion so she gets proficiency in Persuasion and a +2 to Charisma. Her first event was stumbling upon wealth by exploring the world. She takes the Versatile Power Path to indicate her proficiency in different skills and the Sword Power Path due to her weapon skills. For her second decision point she goes for Approach Dynamism, which allows her to take the Dynamist Path. Finally she chooses a status as Dynamist of the Alliance and the Goal of Become Senior Partner in Rand Atomics.
At the end of this process she has a good idea of the past of her character and the initial set of abilities. This also helps her interact with other players and form a cohesive story.
The different Powers in the Wounded Earth –be it Dynamism, Teslamancing, the Mashin Process, Blood Shamanism or Psionics– are all available for players. Eldritch Century uses an open Power System where each level has examples of the things they can do and it is up to the GM and the players to use them creatively.
To roll for a Power, the players decide the effect they want and what level it is, according to their power tables. On most cases, they have to make a Powercasting roll with DC equal to 10+ the power’s level + modifiers.
In game terms casting a Power involves the following steps:
1. They decide what effect they need.
2. They decide how powerful it is going to be, taking into account any modifiers, or if they need it in a hurry. In this step they must spend their Effort Slots or increase the challenge of casting in exchange of not expending a Slot.
3. They try to cast it into reality. This is the most crucial step and is where most casters fail.
For example: a Dynamist has control over physical forces so they can use their power to hold a door open or to generate a shield around their friends. The limit is how many Effort Slots they have to fuel their Powers.
In Eldritch Century all the Paths rely on spending Effort Slots. Powercasters use them to fuel their Powers, and martial classes use them for their abilities or improve their odds at combat. They can be used to upgrade a Power or an ability by spending higher level Slots or increasing difficulty.
Effort Slots measure physical and mental exhaustion and they increase as you gain levels. The Effort mechanic allows players to play potent Ppellcasters while also allowing martial classes to make improvements or exert themselves when the situation demands it.
For example: Noah wants to shoot at a far away monster in the Miasma. He is not a caster but has the Sniping focus ability which allows him to expend an Effort Slot to improve its critical odds. He uses a level 2 Effort Slot to fuel the ability. He will inflict a critical hit on a 19-20 now.

In this campaign, we are offering different bundles for Digital and/or Physical content. The following pledge levels include many appealing rewards at a bundled price.
We are happy to offer a good deal to all brick and mortar retailers/board game cafés. As retailers ourselves too, the method we prefer is having a deposit made during the Kickstarter, placing the full order on the pledge manager with and pay for the games and shipping fees just before fulfillment begins.
We want you to get the games as early as possible before the game is available with your distributors. You will be able to pick how many physical copies you wish to get for each item.
You are welcome to host pre-orders and let us know if you would be interested to offer local pickup for backers in your city.
Secret missions for Eldritch Century
You are now being analyzed in order to ascertain if you are recruit material for our Organization. Who are we? We are what keeps the Miasma at bay. We keep disturbing secrets from the public. We belong to no faction and our loyalty is to humanity itself. We fight the nightmares while others sleep.
Can you choose humanity over the petty fights of the Factions? Are you willing to betray your superiors, friends, your Corsair company or your ship? Technology and Powers are tools that must be used. Do you have what it takes? Can you face your fears? The Miasma is coming, and no faction will be spared. We will delay it no matter the cost.
We want agents that can find the truth without being asked to. Do you want answers? Stop reading this and find the truth that lies out there.
After reaching the funding goal, we will reinvest extra funds to offer you a better product.

We are committed to provide full transparency so here we share our past Kickstarter projects' status:
Eldritch Century: Resin Miniatures Wave 1 - Fulfilled!
War for Chicken Island - In Mass manufacture. Expected delivery: December 2019. We currently just require to review and approve proofs for the components in the following months. All digital rewards are currently being fulfilled. We expect to have some busy months in October-November for fulfillment.
Dragons of the Red Moon - In manufacture. Our lead sculptor is still working on sculpts for the stretch goals. Core rewards STL and dice have been fulfilled. This is a large project with several shipping waves. For Eldritch Century, no additional sculpting is required from him for this Eldritch Century RPG + STL campaign. Here's our project timeline (with buffer for any unlocked Stretch Goals).
Eldritch Century was the first setting created by Draco Studios, which has been under development for more than 2 years. We kindly ask for your support to make an amazing book and bring this project to life.
Draco Studios is currently a holding company integrated by 3 main teams: Content Creation (internally referred as Draco Gaming), Miniature Workshop (Draco Forge), Distributor and Retail stores (Draco Games).
Eldritch Century has also been shaped by outstanding collaborators:
Risks and challenges
The preview information here is subject to ongoing change as we receive feedback. Draco Studios has retained professional cultural consulting to ensure that our content meets a high standard of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
With this campaign we want to bring our first corebook. Some components in this campaign, at our discretion, might not be obtainable elsewhere.
We are working with talented partners to manage this project and campaign based in the universe from Draco Gaming Inc, Eldritch Century.
This the fourth campaign for a physical product of Draco Studios and second for Eldritch Century universe. Just as the last time, we are committed to do everything right and connect with people from around the world who share the love for Cosmic Horror, RPG and 3D printing.
We can refund you within 7 days of the campaign’s end, fees included. After that, we have a policy of no questions asked, though that’s minus Kickstarter and payment processing fees (15%). This policy lasts until the time when we lock orders in our pledge manager, after that point no refunds are possible. If we realise a component cannot be delivered after many months of trying, we refund that completely at the best of our effort, including fees.
This will be a transparent campaign, if any issues occur, we will let you know through project updates – which will be regularly posted after the campaign is funded. At least once per month.
We are so committed to publish our products with the best quality, that we will put money from our pockets if needed in case of any undesired events.
BackerKit is our preferred software to manage the pledges and to ensure a smooth process for our backers for selecting add-ons. Backers should answer their surveys before the indicated deadline to expect to receive their rewards at the promised time. Otherwise, their rewards will be sent on a second wave of deliveries or incur in extra shipping charges.
Manufacture will be held with professional RPG books printers, selection of manufacturer may vary depending on scope. If your product arrives damaged after shipping or has any issues, we will send you a replacement for no extra cost. We might ask you to return the other copy and send proof of the issue with a picture (in case we need to file a claim with the postal service).
Any Kickstarter Exclusives are available by us only on active Kickstarter campaigns and special events such as gaming conventions. Availability on pledge manager is not mandatory and we reserve the right to take that decision.
Please note that shipping fees for physical rewards will be collected after the campaign ends via a pledge manager. Reward tiers say "Ships anywhere in the world" to indicate that backers anywhere can support the project. It does not mean free shipping.
Even though we are trying to offer you a flawless campaign, we don't know if this campaign will get enough backers to reach the funding goal. We have a large team that will work on fulfilling this project. We would like to ask for your help to spread the word with a friend, a local store, or your social media.
Third-party issues happening during shipping will be treated in a case-by-case basis. We will share with you every progress related to the project.
The most probable delays are:
We have added some buffer time to the project timeline scope; but as many Kickstarters, delays are still possible.
