Dare to enter the Labyrinth!
In the decaying stellar prison of Obliti, the budget constraints make living unsustainable. Due to the lack of supplies, inmates have to look for new ways to manage and share food, water and… oxygen!
‘Compete today, breathe tomorrow’. In Sector 6, the newcomers have to run-through the intricate labyrinth of galleries in Sector 6 of the prison. It’s here where the distribution of oxygen takes place and they’ll have to be the fastest in collecting the most if they want to survive until tomorrow. Only the cleverest players will be able to manipulate the mechanical labyrinth to their benefit to collect all the possible oxygen.

Sector 6 is a strategy board game comprised of an original adjustable hex tile system that will make each game totally unique and surprising.
Players must move through a labyrinth of moving walls and pick up oxygen points to become the winner. Games have two different phases:
Build Phase: with a set of simple rules the contenders will build the labyrinth. This is a crucial phase, since players will decide where to place the oxygen and their own Entry points where they will start moving from.
Competition Phase: contenders move into the labyrinth to pick up the oxygen points. Also, they may rotate tiles to either open or close galleries. It’s necessary to calculate the movements on each turn thoughtfully to avoid getting trapped.

We've also prepared an ADD-ON that many prototype players had asked for both before and after starting the Kickstarter campaign. It involves a very original hexagonal box measuring together with the playmat 70x70mm (27.5x27.5in). They are not needed to play the game, but you could use it for SECTOR 6 or any other game.

Sector 6 includes a modular set of rules that you may combine in any mode to adapt it to the players’ ages or the level of difficulty.
Survival: this is the standard mode and it’s played with all the rules to build, move and rotate the labyrinth.
Breathe: similar to the standard mode but without a Build phase; ideal for your first games. It’s played in pre-set labyrinths that are included in the manual and it will teach you how to move in the labyrinth.
Rotate: an ‘easy mode’ specifically designed for people with visual-spatial difficulties.
Run: the easiest mode aimed at youngsters. In this mode the tiles don’t rotate. You have to be the fastest to collect the oxygen points.
Collaborative: team-mode for four players. Teams have to plan in advance because picking up the oxygen won't be enough to win. Compatible with all the pre-defined modes of difficulty.
Escape: solo mode in which an AI will move your opponents. The challenge is to claim all the oxygen points (Stretch Goal).
In the first phase players will build the labyrinth. In turns, players will place tiles on the table to link them with the corridor network. They could also place their Entry points anytime and in any place which will be their starting position when the contest begins.
Once the labyrinth has been built, the oxygen markers are placed on top of all the marked tiles and a miniature of every prisoner is placed in its Entry point tile.
In the second phase players will have to go through the labyrinth collecting the oxygen tokens. On each turn, a player must move one of their prisoners and then they will either rotate the tiles or collect oxygen.
Rotating the tiles will change the corridors; some will close pathways while others will open new galleries. The cog system in the board game, being a linked mechanism, may end up greatly affecting gameplay by forcing players into puzzling situations.
The game ends once all the oxygen markers have been collected. The team with the most oxygen points wins.
A Sector 6 run-through (English subtitles)
Sector 6 came out as a prototype in October 2014. Since then the game has been tested and played by hundreds of gamers, and in the LUDO Guild game association by experts in board game design.
Additionally, the game has been a finalist runner-up in the “Feria JugarxJugar” in Granollers, a well-known board-game fair within the national and international community.
As you can see, the game is in the final stages of design and illustrations, almost ready for mass production. The manual has been written and edited in both languages and its main goal is to be gamer-friendly.
The campaign will finish on Sunday, the 15th of January 2017 and we expect to have it out on delivery before July 2017.
This project is USA-Friendly, EU-Friendly, Australian-Friendly, Canada Friendly and therefore no additional charges or fees will apply regarding taxes or customs. Since the dimensions and weight of the final boxes may slightly change, the shipping costs will be calculated during the pledge manager where we will try to adjust it as much as possible. Below you can see approximate shipping prices that will be confirmed in due time. In case of requesting a reimbursement of your pledge once the campaign has finished, fees and expenses will be applied.
