Teamstream #4 This Friday, Our Blog, Changes to Updates!

Pre-production continues! Brad and John have been hammering out some awesome designs. Andy, Derek and Geoff have been making a whole lot of awesome art. Anthony has been building some insane production spreadsheets and you may have noticed that Chad got our engine up and running to start building MASSIVE CHALICE!

Teamstream #4 This Friday!

This Friday, August 16th at 4PM Pacific (23:00 GMT) we’ll be hosting our fourth Teamstream! Tune in to where we’ll be talking about the current state of pre-production and discussing more of our early design ideas. As always we’ll end with a Q&A session to let you guys tell us what’s on your mind!

We just copied ALL OF OUR LIVESTREAMS to our YouTube account. So, if you missed any of them, no problem! You can view them on Double Fine’s YouTube channel at any time!

Our Blog

Double Fine Community Manager Chris Remo has been working on the MASSIVE CHALICE blog and it’s ready to go! This will be your primary source for catching the most up-to-date news concerning MASSIVE CHALICE. Check out the blog here or you can use the RSS feed!

If you want to get more involved with the discussion be sure to check out the MASSIVE CHALICE forums and start a conversation!

Changes to Updates

We love keeping you guys updated. To make sure we can get those out as timely as possible we are streamlining how we get the word out! So, from now on you’ll be getting MASSIVE CHALICE update emails straight from us. Be sure to add to your spam filter so you don’t miss out on our Teamstream announcements, Art updates and other MASSIVE NEWS!

Oh and don’t worry. We won’t miss any of your email addresses. Way back when the Kickstarter finished we sucked in all the backer emails into our Double Fine database and that’s the one we’ve been keeping up-to-date! We’ve got you covered!

For really important updates we’ll be sure to send out a Kickstarter update as well as the email update from

We’re looking forward to this Friday. We’ve got all kinds of goodies to show and we are stoked to hear your latest questions!

Anyone else care to complain about a simple change to updates? Geez.

I too would have preferred all updates on KS, all is cool. Thanks for the update.

I prefer to have everything on KS but at least you are not sticking your head in the sand like those Castle Story guys.

Is there a Private Backers-Only Area in forums? I can't see it =(

Like the new blog, and I love the streams where you talk about the art, systems, and just discuss the game. I hope to see that continue through the actual development as things start coming together. Even just short videos with a team member talking about what he/she's working on now are always great.

      yay, a tumblr blog !
It would be pretty sweet if it had a "rss feed" on twitter too, announcing its update.
(yes, I read those much more often than my mails ._. )

Thanks for keeping update on kickstarter:)

Atleast they are actually going to keep us up to date this time (Unlike Double fine adventure, where-by discovering the name of the damn project and the fact that we were "apparently" able to vote on it was revealed days later via some other, random third party gaming news site...)

But yeah I don't quite see the issue with just using Kickstarter's update feature here, been kept up to date with all my other projects just fine.

I'd rather have the updates on Kickstarter, but I suppose if you still put the major updates up, that's... fine.

I hope this is because there are going to be so many updates that posting them on Kickstarter would seem like spam, rather than trying to force some kind of gate between those who must actively choose to keep updated and those who would prefer passive updates.
