      Listen to me.... we are in the last 24 hours. Stop, take a moment to re-read this: http://www.kickstarter.com/blog/24-hours ...the first 24 hours. Look at how far we've come.
      Ask yourself if you can do a little more, if so, please do. But look at what we've accomplished.
      In my opinion Double Fine and Tim Schafer have managed to attract the love and loyalty of some amazing people. It's a reflection back upon them, of course. But be proud of yourselves, for being those people. And for being brave enough to believe in this little dream.

      Please make the Hardcover Adventure Book similar to the poster tier i.e. autographed by Tim Schafer, Ron Gilbert, and the rest of the design team. A little bit more 'reward' effort on your part but I think if you capped it at 1000 backers you could receive another half a million - making the project even more amazing!

      Loved the video. Would be awesome if you could do a full panel discussion with some of the other old adventure game greats like Roberta Williams, Al Lowe, Brian Moriarty, etc.

      Please, guys -- if the economics work, make this a Big Box, as it was in the halcyon days of the 90s. The mini box and the DVD case are pale substitutes for what was once a great aspect of this weird little hobby of ours.

      Back in time there was a company in Brazil called "Brasoft". They used to translate those KucasArts adventures to Brazillian Portuguese, such as Full Throttle, The Dig, Curse & Escape from MI and Grim Fandango (this one with voice acting). Can't you guys thinks a little bit more about adding PT-BR as a translated language?

      I'm pretty stoked to hear what is going into this title. I lived in kind of a rough neighborhood growing up so I stayed indoors a lot, I grew up on point and clicks, I feel the nostalgia coming on already!

      Well, I think people are already asking for too many platforms.

      I would love to see this game in XBLA for example, but I think it's not realistic at this point. Righ now, with the funding they have, I think they should focus on the already confirmed platforms and ensure the game is really good (I have no doubt about this point :P).
      After the game is published, if it sells well, they will have gathered enough money to port it to other platforms like Vita, PSN, XBLA, other mobile devices, etc.

      Also, I would love to see Michael Land involved in this :)

      XBL + WP7 for teh win. ;) Seriously though, if they develop on those two platforms, there are all kinds of cool integration points to leverage. Anyway, I might be a new comer, but loved Trenched, aka Iron Brigade, and that's what got me to support them. Go guys, go.. ;)

      DOTT and MI2 were the superior products for that age, and those come to my mind initially as the best SCUMM-games ever made. However, I think MI3 was the best adventure game ever made due to it's incredible depth, graphics and voice acting, even though I hated it first for being so different from MI1&2 graphically.

      Day of the Tentacle was, in my opinion, the pinnacle of LucasArts' point-and-click adventure game products. And of course, Monkey Island raised the bar on the genre to a height that no competing franchise ever managed to top. With Schafer at the helm and Gilbert on board, I have very high hopes that this project will be about getting back to the roots of what makes the genre so incredibly enjoyable.

      Will the Beta Version already be available for Mac? Also: Hurray for iOS Version! Just because of this whole project I started to play Day of the Tentacle on my iPod via ScummVM. Such a great and funny game!

      Maybe a Nintendo DS/3DS version? Bottom touch screen with a stylus seems to be nice for that.

      Yeah, since sufficiently powered mobile devices like the iPhone and the Androids are already set to be covered, a PS Vita version would be the icing on the cake for me. As I heard, it´s even far more cheaper for developers to publish a game on the Vita than to publish it on PS3´s PSN. (or SEN, as it is now called, whatever!)
      Furthermore, the Vita should make for quite a gentle platform to work on (with all the hardware and stuff)
      - So that would make myself very happy! [But EFIGS localisation and voices are already superb !!!]

      Steam is not available on GNU/Linux, so why not expand your markets. Desura has a wide userbase and is available on Windows, Mac and GNU/Linux.

      Oh, if you get enough money for localising the FIGS dialog I work for a company who specialise in that, which has two of the guys who worked on the localised dialog for psychonauts, so you may remember them.

      I'm still badgering the MD to send you an email to harass you :)

      I can't wait to see what impact $2,000,000 will have on this game, is there any chance that this game could be open source? Wolfire have been driving open source commercial games recently and I love the idea, an open source game with a $2m budget would certainly be eye catching to developers.

      Fantastic, I've loved all the goodness that have oozed from the pores of Double Fine thus far and can't wait to see what they/you come up with for this project... (hopefully a fine combination of Lucas Artsy, Monkey Islandey goodness mixed with a bit of King's/Space Quest (am I being a little unrealistic here?). Whatever it turns out to be, I'm sure it'll kick all kinds of ass.
      Lastly, I'm extremely happy to be backing this!

      @John, oh yeah! I used to love point and click adventure games (we used to call them 'Quests'). I was sure that after 'The Longest Journey' good adventure games became extinct... Can't wait to try beta...)))
