Will I ever receive my box will all of this goodness?
I still haven't received this
I got a package lying at customes from "Reid Young" (or similar), is this the stuff you sent out?
Just to let you know that my big box landed safely here in the UK. Many thanks for this.
'The Eagle has landed'
1730 days AFTER the successful kickstarter project ;-)
= 4,74 years later!
Retrospection // kickstarter:
'Double Fine Adventure'
asked for: $400k
until: 13. March 2012
from: 87.142 backers
= 833% / Ø $38
Are the Definitive edition and the bluray edition the same?
Got my box, and it's BEAUTIFUL! I like the bullet points in the back, though I think the part of "not telling anybody" about that really hard puzzle is wrong, since "that really hard puzzle" (end of Part 2) was talked about at great lengths online :)
@Rune Lunden Absolutley everything you need is in your humble library associated with the email you backed with. If you don't have an account there, make one with that email address and you should find your games and the series there. Contact Humble support if it's not!
@Mickey Possingham Steam codes for that content should appear in your humble library around next week kinda time, we're just getting codes sent over to those guys now!
@Alexis Maes Please contact our support, it might be too late at this stage, as these are already shipping, but they'll do their best to help! email@example.com
@Andrew Wilson Congratulations, you win! :)
@Abdulrahman mathkor The Art books shipped several months ago! You must have missed the surveys, spam folder perhaps? Get in touch with Fangamer - firstname.lastname@example.org - to get yours. :)
excuse me, but did you mention the artbook ?
excuse me @Double Fine and 2 Player Productions but you didn't mention anything about the wooly covered artbook :(
"Good work everyone who noticed our intentional mistake in the video.doublefine.com link, we were testing you of course. *ahem* That now forwards to the right place :) Thanks!"
Oh! That explains why you did it again in the comment where you linked to "support.doubelfine.com"
Got anymore of those boxed copies? I'll happily pay for one.
@Kristan Alicesun It seems they are updating Humble Bundle with the new versions. I just downloaded episode 1 through the Library tab and it includes the commentaries. Episode 5 and 8 are broken and don't work right now. I was however able to download them through VHX (Hadn't heard of it before)
Hey ! I've asked for a refund multiple times but for some reason I can't get a response through direct messaging.
It's been 4 years, I don't want a boxed version, I just want my money back.
So am I correct that the link to download the videos from Humble Bundle is the old versions & the one's streamed from VHX are the re-done versions? Do I have access to the commentary tracks, or just the Blu-ray people get that?
It was tricky to redeem the VHX videos but I was able to do it, here's what I learned:
You go to your Humble Bundle library, and then you have to click the "KEYS" tab at the top, and find the "Broken Age Documentary" VHX key here. There are probably multiple pages of keys so you have to click through the pages to find it.
Also if you were a Massive Chalice backer, you may get thrown off by a "Double Fine Adventure 2PP VHX keys" link in this listing, which is actually for Massive Chalice videos on VHX... it is misnamed, at least in my keys list.
Hey, I've noticed that the Double Fine Adventure Deluxe Edition content is available in the Steam store as DLC as well as on VHX, as backers did get keys for the Steam version of the documentary will they also be getting keys for the special features on Steam? Or is it supposed to be automatically added like the VHX version?
@Jason B. Login to humble bundle, click on your email at the top of the page and go to Keys. Then search for "Broken Age Documentary" there should be 2 entries, one for Steam and one for VHX. You cant see the Key from the Library tab, you have to do it from the key tab.
ATTENTION! THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO POST COMMENTS IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR NEED SERVICE. CONTACT 2PP ON TWITTER @2PProductions OR WRITE email@example.com
@Enzo Lombardi - $15 dollar backers got access to the forums to watch the series as it was being made, but HD downloads were at the $30 level.
@Bartosz Krawcewicz I don't think there's anything unique about the GoG listing compared to the other services we've offered keys for.
@Jason B. - VHX codes were distributed through Humble Bundle, you should be able to find one under "Broken Age". Scroll down to "Additional Content" from there, it's at the bottom.
I am a 30$ backer but dont have a VHX key, never got one via email. I can download 20 episodes from my humble bundle page though. Is that the right version, with all the extras? How can I download the latest version with outtages, unblur etc?
No "Double Fine Adventure: Definitive Edition" GOG key for backers? I'm sad :(
Woo! This is wonderful, and sad, news. I'm so looking forward to seeing my retro box... I see it's incredibly retro -- more so than I expected! A big frame around the artwork, wow.
@Remy Monsen and Radosław Grzanka: They specifically asked people to email them for support problems, and NOT to post questions about support in the comments. I'd do that if I were you.
I am a $15 backer as well. I would love to understand how to download my copy as well. I agree with Rune.
@Remy Monsen and Radosław Grzanka:
I actually do have the VHX key in the normal Humbe Bundle library: https://www.humblebundle.com/home/library
Select Broken Age and go down to section 'Additional content', it should be the very last entry.
Alternatively you can find them via Purchases or Keys (search for Broken Age, not VHX).
Just a couple of things i noticed on the VHX Deluxe Bundle page. For the Bonus ZIP downloads it looks like only DFA_Bonus_Ep14.zip through 20 were uploaded. The Bonus videos for Ep 1 through 13 don't seem to be there. They are streamable, just not in the bonus downloads. Not sure if this was intentional or not.
Also the ZIP downloads for Deleted Scenes Ep10 and 16 seem to be too large for Windows 10, or 7zip (64bit) to open. I copied them over to my Mac and they extracted just fine. Just thought I'd mention it.
I am a backer of this game, and I still have no ide on how to get a copy of it.
There is just all theese different pages thrown around and accounts you got to create.
Where is that simple survey I needto fill out to get my game.
This far it has only been $15 for a tower of spam.
It's about time! And just in time for the apocalypse!
Looking forward to the box. What a journey.
Yes! :D Thanks for the update.
@Radoslaw: Have you tried their order resender (https://www.humblebundle.com/resender)? Could be that it's associated with your email but not claimed by your Humble account for some reason.
Guess what? I'm $30 backer and I have no VHX key in my humble bundle and no way to watch this. VHX says I have no account and it does not email me. So there is that.
@ TOG|JJ it's a weird system, they are weird: Go to sign in (link on the bottom of the page), and then it will email you if you don't have an account already...
I have no idea how to sign up to VHX :/
Thanks, everything in order now.
Humble Bundle likes to hide away your keys though, I was just finishing up an email to support because there was no key listed on the DFA page over at humble bundle. Turned out all keys were hidden way on a special page, with no mention on the respective product pages that a key might exist at all. No points to humble for the user friendliness of that page.
So awesome! I've been waiting a long time for the documentary to be ready on bluray. It looks amazing! I just hope it's been released as all region. You did remember to make sure it's not region locked, didn't you? Could be a candidate for one of those "oops" updates. ;)
If you are having problems with the VHX page, try the following, then contact us at support.doubelfine.com
First up, the login box is (weirdly) at the bottom of the page.
You need to enter the code you were sent a while back via Humble in order to access the videos here. Look for that on your Humble page (look for "double fine adventure") You can also download the series from here, but it might not quite be updated yet.
If you do not already have a VHX account, you will need to make one (and then enter that code)
Hopefully that should be all the info you need! :)
Last email from fangamer I got was in 2012 regarding the poster and shirt.
Time to manually get in touch with them regarding my missing survey and address details I suppose...
The videos are not in my library. How do I watch them?
I figured it out!
I went and checked through the old backer updates, figuring there where probably instructions on how to get the VHX videos in there somewhere, and indeed there where! So to all $30 backers out there this is how you do it:
Go to your HumbleBundle account page, find your purchase of Broken Age, and in that purchase is an option called "Click here for VHX key". Click that, follow the instructions on the following page, and you're golden :).
Good work everyone who noticed our intentional mistake in the video.doublefine.com link, we were testing you of course. *ahem* That now forwards to the right place :) Thanks!
Actually, scratch what I said; I found a way to log in at the bottom of the page, but it doesn't recognize my email address. Welp...
Would have preferred an actual ending personally, but oh well.
How exactly do we $30 backers get the remastered series for free? I can't find any way to log in on the site or any other way to authenticate myself as a backer, only how to buy it :/.
