Posted by Double Fine and 2 Player Productions (Creator)

We had numerous reports that the previous update was not received by people, so we're just updating again to say:

Fan Gamer have sent you all surveys to find out where you live these days, so please check your inbox. Make sure to check your spam folder - look as far back as the start of May.  If you do not have an email, or have some other issue, please contact directly! Thanks! :)

Once we have your address finalized, your art books will be sent out right away! Boxes are not quite ready but are really close to being done.

@Christina Davignon: The artbook was released some time ago (end of March), check your Humble Library for the download plus a Dark Horse code.
(It may be a little bit hidden, search for artbook in Library or go via Purchases.)

When will the pdf of art books be sent out ?

how can we check to see if our addresses have been updated? I missed the previous deadline but updated before that one. I want to make sure the correct one is on file.

    4. Mike D Lawrence on

I'm actually really happy this got delayed since I had to leave my old address and had abandoned all hope of ever seeing my copy.

    5. DeeZaster on

oops... Does anyone not anything, sorry for typo below.

    6. DeeZaster on

Does anything think this will break the record for a preorder of your Duke Nukem to reach your hands vs Double Fine Adventure boxed game? We all wait in silence...

    7. Sascha Frenzer on

Is there any kind of update?

    8. Liam Markham on

The box had better be pretty spectacular to justify this kind of wait.

@Harley Cattini: What's wrong with the quality of Broken Age?

Between the abysmal handling of high-level backers and the... less than stellar quality of Broken Age itself, I've really lost a lot of respect for Double Fine.

sence they are not updating pepole i will.
based on the forum updates i would say in a week we should get an update but knowing them it could be as long as 3 weeks.
the pepole making the documentary have said its pretty much done except a few small parts. they implied there is one announcement/ decision they are going to let us in on but they are saving it for the next kickstarter update(this means they are ready for the update now but we are waiting for it)
if they were anyother company based on that id say two months after the update it would be shipped out.
so about 3 months from now total.
but again id expect them to have further dleays so id estmate closer to 5 months at this point.
i hope im way off and they deliver far sooner but i would not hold my breath.
good luck all i will check back in in a month.

I love how there's a message below the "Post comment" button that says, "Be respectful and considerate." You know, as respectful and considerate as a company who is over 4 years late and still hasn't sent out backers' artbooks and boxed editions, despite the artbooks and game being available for sale at stores. All I've received is the poster, buttons, and T-shirt. I'm still waiting on the artbook and it seems everyone is still waiting for the boxed version of the game.

Tim, you have lost any respect I ever had for you. Never ask any of us for anything again.

    15. Michael Kalus on

I guess Tim is too busy fighting Gamer gate to actually do his job.

Seriously, almost four years behind schedule, 3 months since the last communication. But hey, why would Tim care. He already got my money.

If I ran my business that way I'd be in jail.

I love the respect the backers who went big on your project get. I love adventure games, and I am not one to boycott anything, but this debacle combined with Space Base has made DF the one gaming company i'll never buy from again. Congrats!

When are we getting the books and the game box? Things are just way too silent.

One thing this project learned me is that I'll never pledge to a kickstarter ever again. 4 years since I recieved the only reward of this project (the T-shirt), 5 years since I pledged. There's no excuses in being this late. You took us for milking cows and it worked perfectly. But it won't work a second time on me...

No update at all? Instead on backing 500, I'll buy directly from gog or steam. No box edition, no hardcover. Nothing received except the T-shirt.... Years ago.

I responded to this a while ago. Still didn't get the promised art book. Guess we still have to wait.

    22. Christian Page on

Coming up on 15 months sence the game came out. The running excuse this whole time has been the documentary. How long does it take to color correct a video. The filming, editing, and pretty much everything was done a year ago. I can watch these videos on YouTube right now yet them being finger has delayed for over a year? Im all for delays to work on games I have defended and encoraged every delay in games I backed. As I want them to be good. And I understand and know this happens to nearly every game. But a year for a done game? It feels like a distribution deal fell through and your waiting for a contract to time out so you can make a new deal be for you send them out

    23. Brandon 'Link' Copp-Millward on

      Patiently awaiting anything.

    24. Christian Page on

at this point in tim i would not hold my breath and id lean to 3 months they have been talking like this for a year now. it seams every developer i like has a problem with time tables. but oh well im fairly pacheant but i will not give them any more money till i get this. then once i get it i will go bact to funding almost everything they do
