It may be "out" but they're not all working. The DRM-free OS X version is a bad file. The direct download is not complete and the torrent will only get to 95% and then it stops. It's not just me, others have commented on this problem as well in the general comments. Please work with Humble to get this fixed! I'm anxious to get started on Broken Age! :)
I would so buy a plush of hexipal!
On the subject of puzzles, is the knot puzzle bugged or something? Even after working out what to do, it seems you have to fail and revisit the knot expert a few times before you can actually succeed. Even picking the correct option, provided it is available, won't work until after a few visits.
An excellent game! Act 2 was very challenging, in a good way.
Only one of the puzzles I thought was pretty counter intuitive in how it gets solved. I ended up cheating and looking up a walkthrough but It probably would have been several days before I would have figured out the secret to the snake. So for that one I don't feel too terrible.
Aside from that I feel pretty proud in having been able to solve the rest of the game!
I loved the story as it developed and the twist in the beginning regarding Shay's parents caught me completely by surprise.
Definitely one of the best products I've backed. Thank you so much for this game, Doublefine!
I downloaded from the link in the email (Humble Bundle page) and when I start the game I am back at the beginning of Act 1. Is this because I am using a new computer without my original save file on it? Like is the file now both acts together? (Thanks for the excellent game btw :-))
+1 for hexipal plushie! Add an arduino in there and make it programmable too :p
hello. i have not received the codes. please help. thank you!
I don't have codes yet either. I had some shenanigans with my old email, but I've been getting your updates since February, so I don't think it's that. I plan on playing through Steam.
I'm gonna be so happy when I don't have to hear from you lot anymore.
I just played about two hours of the game, and have been delighted by every second of it. Every moment feels hand crafted with love and care, and the whole experience is overflowing with charm, wit, and depth. The entire team should be immensely proud of everything you've created. Thank you.
@Tobias - just unsubscribe?
@Matt - The OSX DRM Free build is now fixed.
@Allan - the Knot puzzle is like that by design
If you haven't been sent a Steam code EVER then please email firstname.lastname@example.org, you don't need a new one for Act 2 though, the game will auto update.
Hexipal plushies are the best. Maybe we'll make some. :)
You're my heroes :) Keep up the good work you do guys. Eternally loyal! Can't wait for the next adventure game kickstarter - if you think you will go for it(considering the various(ungrateful) public recation to all your efforts) :)
Thanks for the Broken Age! Cheers and hugs to all of you there:)
I so deeply enjoy learning more about the team at Double Fine. Thanks so much for the awesome Sidequest series!
Is there any way to get a code for iOS version instead of OS X?
nice sidequest, I enjoyed puzzle agent, although it reminded me too much of prof layton ;)
Thanks, DF :)
Haven't finished A2 yet, but I'm really enjoying the game so far.
I have to say, I'm really sad to see this project wrap up... this video series is one of my favourite and most motivating things that keeps me going in the games industry. Watching the things you guys go through (and having gone through some similar things) and the ways you deal with them, both on a professional and a personal level, is extremely interesting and exciting.
What if you just did a Keeping Up With The Double Fine's TV show.
I wish you guys all the best of luck on the next project. Sadly, I'll have to sort through the hairs of the buttcrack that is the internet in order to find info on it, instead of being spoon-fed these amazing videos.
I'm really hoping the lack of Android for Kickstarter backers is an oversight? It's the reason I backed :(
How do I get Android for backing? That's why I backed I WANNA PLAY <3
i loved the game!!! im realy pissed at the bad reviews its one thing if you dont like the game i understand we dont all like the same things....but half the reviews read like the person backed/boght it not knowing what an adventure game is. they describe everything that makes up a classic adventure game as the bad things that should not have been in this.
another chunk of bad reviews are clearly people that just hate dublefine because of space base df9.
i hope idiots can move on soon so we can get a better representation of how this game is.
I'm really happy you guys made it and that the game is done. Congratulations! I do have one request. I really want my game through GOG. I backed at the $100 level...and I don't really care about any of the other physical rewards, the box, etc. I'm happy to give that up if I could just get a GOG code for the game. That's all I want. Sorry to be a pain and post this here...I'm not sure of any other way to contact you. Please...a GOG key and you can keep the rest.
@Rob Eisenberg: They never handed out GOG keys but you can get the DRM-free download from Humble Bundle.
@Rob Eisenberg: It seems like they recently added GOG keys to Humble lately, at least on my tier I've got one now.
