THE ONLY WAY WE CAN MAKE THIS MOVIE IS WITH YOUR HELP!
CHECK OUT THE EXTENDED TRAILER:
We want to make PURE into a live action movie. PURE is an epic tale of engrained racism and the evils of inequality - a project where models get body painted to become the characters of a graphic novel and a feature length movie.
The movie is based on a fumetti style graphic novel named PURE. A story built around the small nation of Seyns. It's governed by 7 feuding Western defined families (Baum, Cassidy, Dolle’, Kindris, Rome, Mundi and Slaven); each with unique characteristics (heritage, social norms, cloning, ethical values, traditional customs, religious beliefs, political systems, artifacts and technologies). They don the ornate clothing and jewelry of money, beauty, and corruption. Their golden exterior and sky blue eyes belie any preoccupation with altruism, for the commoners serve as mere stepping-stones to money, power and useless things.
The Others do not fit in to society due to a substantial shortage of earthly possessions, sex, race or class. The Others cannot camouflage their destitution. They live out side of Seyns and can only enter the nations walls to serve.
CHECK OUT OUR 1-4 MINUTE SHORT CLIPS:
How we will use the donations is as follows: 20% costumes, 10% locations, equipment 30%, post-production 20%, travel 15% & misc. 5%. If we obtain our reach goal of 8,500 will insure us filming in Denver. Once completed in September, we plan to put it in several film festivals.
Some of the festivals we are considering are the following: San Diego Film Festival, San Diego Black Film Festival, FilmOut San Diego, LA Film Festival, San Francisco Black Film Festival, SF Indie Fest s, Philadelphia Film Society , Philadelphia Independent Film Festival , qFLIX Philadelphia, The oldest independent Film Festival in our nation's capitol , Provincetown International Film Festival: Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival and NYC Independent Film Festival.
If completed in time, I hope to show it at San Diego Film Festival (OCT 4 - 8, 2017) and Film Festival 25 - Philadelphia Film Society (OCT).
This is a professional production, and will be shot in Washington D.C., San Diego and Dever. We do the best we can to cut costs. It takes a lot of time, equipment, people and money to make a fantasy/comic book movie look as good as it does. So, we are asking for a lot of money from you. We need as many people to give as possible.
$5,500 is the minimum we need to make our movie. But we are really shooting for $9,000. We shoot just like a feature film, out of sequence with dozens of characters, multiple locations, original music, and even special effects.
We guarantee high production values, a great script and hilarious performances, but we can only do it with your help!

In 2009, I began working on a fine arts series called The Privileged Series. I traveled to Tybee Island, GA to work with fashion designer Anthony Canney, Tim Cabel and Julie Simser to do the first shoot. The goal was to represent the differences between the rich and the poor through a surrealistic art form.
In 2010, The Privileged Series was exhibited at Touchstone Gallery (Washington, D.C.) and soon after traveled to galleries around the United States.
In 2012, The Privileged Series was displayed at Distinction Gallery near San Diego, CA. I partnered with Keifla Antonio and his team to paint models, bringing the outrageously colored characters from canvas to live performance.
In 2013, I created the first pilot comic book called PURE. The project used real people with a wide variety of body types to portray the characters in the story.
In 2014, when I met Michael Coslow, PURE exploded into an ongoing series with talk of making the first short movie. A small team traveled to Europe and across the United States. We painted people for multiple short five minutes films.
By 2015, I released the first official fumetti PURE: graphic novel. I also collaborated with Yogabear Studio; once in Washington, D.C. and again in San Diego, CA. Our collaborative efforts produced two books of nude body painted models portraying PURE characters. After a stroke in 2016, I thought the project was over. But thanks to the interests of friends, we have new plans to join with a distributor and film our first short film.

Risks and challenges
The major challenge to this project is filming in three different locations and finding the needed staff to help. We can always use more body painters. How we are combating this is building three separate crews led by the director and creator to make everything seamless. We plan to deliver some amazing scenery for this feature film.
I don’t have a studio behind me. It’s just one guy that survived a stroke and wants to create art. Anything and everything can still go wrong, from weather, illness to any kind of emergency. But, my team has produced several successful shorts. We love making them, and are confident PURE will be bigger and better than ever!
IT’S GOING TO BE AN AMAZING RIDE! BE A PART OF IT!
And thank you for believing in and supporting this project!
