About this project
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE CONTINUED SUPPORT.
I made a video displaying a short look into the world of customizing vinylmation and a very unique artist who has been in the game for some time, Chris Evilos. He decided to donate 10 limited edition cusotom made pieces to the Kickstarter and I made a video because I thought you guys might be getting bored with that one above. :)
These 10 custom 3" vinylmation green dopevinyl "bombs" by chris evilos will be available on my kickstarter tonight, March 6th 2013 at 7:30pm PST for $50 each.
Thanks again to everyone and to Chris for the support!
The goal of this documentary film is to step into the lives of numerous professional artists maintaining different careers and opinions involving custom urban vinyl art and toys. I have filmed numerous hours of footage on my own time and own budget, and now I need your help and support to make it happen. Everything will be organized, filmed, and edited by myself with appropriate assistance as needed. Once the film is completed, it then will be given to a professional company for final post edit and formatting.
The film trailer posted above is a sample of what you can expect to receive if this project properly meets its funding goal. I will visit artists all around the United States, as well as several locations in Europe. This film will not only document the creative talents acquired by these artists through many years of passion and devotion to their works, but will showcase their innermost thoughts about what they do. My knowledge and background in film production will let you see what I experience the whole way through. While a proper title has not yet been decided upon, a hard copy of the DVD is available for pre-order as well as a digital download of the movie. The DVD will contain extras that the digital download will not include, such as short videos and excerpts of artists and shows that won't be included in the film. If I get funded properly, I am hoping to complete this film by the end of 2013 and on your screens by the beginning of 2014.
Below are what really makes this Kickstarter campaign fun and interesting. Many artists from the custom toy industry have donated one of a kind pieces of art work, vinyl toys, resin, clothing, and commission spots, with most of these artists being featured in the film. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all these guys and to everyone that has helped me get this far.
You can pre-order a copy of the film on DVD for $25 shipped or you can pre-order the digital download for $15.
If you grab one of the artist donations listed and also want a copy of the documentary film please read below.
Please add $15 to your order for a digital download of the documentary film.
Please add $25 to your order for a hard copy of the documentary film on DVD.
Ok, on to the other rewards.. Numerous artists and friends from the designer toy community have donated amazing items up for grabs. Most of them are pictured below with proper labels on the pictures themselves for less confusion.
More donations will be added throughout the month.
Thank you so much for any support!!
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenges that I may deal with are the budgeting and time management. DVD production is one of the main concerns. A properly made DVD layout, menu, and case comes with a hefty price tag, but will be well worth the quality. Other challenges mat include scheduling flights and meetings ahead of time with artists and making sure they are available at that time to fit me into their busy schedules.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
