If you're thinking of coming to Sunny Southend early to have a look at the seaside, we recommend you get to The Railway in time for their super vegan full English breakfast, which is only available on Saturday mornings, and then be sure to catch a glimpse of the mystery art show upstairs before the music starts.
The Railway Hotel is one of my favourite boozers and it is in my home town. I feel that it makes sense to start my tour where I come from. The Railway has loads of character and best of all, it has top notch ciders, beers, food and artwork on display.
