Thank you so much to all of the backers of our project. Any additional funds we receive will go towards making this music video even more awesome and go towards future L.B. Rayne projects, so if you have $5 to $500 to spare and you want to be part of this project (and want a personalized thank you message from L.B. Rayne himself), we would appreciate your help eternally!
To Bravely Go Where No Man's Been Before...
After the commercial and critical failure of Star Trek: The Motion Picture in 1979, producers Robert Sallin and Harve Bennett began searching for a way to reinvent and reinvigorate the Star Trek feature film franchise.
In the summer of 1981, they enlisted legendary producer Hal Lowenstein to create an opening sequence for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan; one which would add a new dimension to the franchise and hopefully open it up to wider audience. Lowenstein chose his protege, Laurence Butler Rayne, to write and perform the theme song, "Where No Man's Been Before."
After test screening the sequence, the producers decided it would not be an appropriate direction to take the film. The decision was made to cut the sequence, and unfortunately the footage was lost for over 30 years.
After acquiring the rights to L.B. Rayne's archive of music and videos, Doogtoons Studios has uncovered this lost footage as a damaged 16mm print. Fully restorable, Doogtoons needs your help to bring this footage back to it's former glory.
Please contribute today and perhaps you can see what no man has seen before!
The Real Story...
Ok... the story above is completely fictitious... but we really do need your help to "go back in time" to produce yet another "lost theme song" and music video for "The King of Lost Pop" L.B. Rayne. The funds we raise will cover all production expenses including costumes, props, traveling expenses, food for the cast and crew, visual effects supplies and more. The budget will also go toward professionally mixing and mastering the music, so that it sounds as good as can be.
If you love L.B. Rayne, please contribute today!

Risks and challenges
We are aiming to create the greatest L.B. Rayne video yet, and there are many challenges when producing a project such as this.
As we do not foresee any huge hurdles, there is always the risk of location delays, cast or crew getting sick, post production problems, reshoots, data loss, equipment breaking, and anything that will extend production past the schedule that we have planned.
If we are funded, we will complete this music video against all odds, regardless of any challenges we may face.
With your help, we can make this project a reality!
