I think Canarywood Boulder for me.
Any chance of projects using Jarrah? Or would it be too difficult with cost and customs?
Barb meant the only rule is you cannot reduce your pledge amount.
@Mike. Barb is correct. Thanks Barb!
@mike, the only rule is you can reduce your pledge.
@DMG- per the 5$ pledge. If we are still at 5$ when the campaign ends, can we still pledge up to what we want in pledge manager? Aside from hard decisions, money is tight so deferring until the PM opens is always useful.
I love the coloring of Padauk.
You know I wouldn't mind more dice made out of pink ivory. Don't know how available it is...
Welcome to the pot, ya ‘Nuck! ‘Merica, nuff said! :-)
Thirded on the katalox front, it's gorgeous stuff.
@Erwin. Yes, that is a good idea. The open interior fits a lot of dice, about 24 polys, so plenty of room for extras.
@Pao some of the in stock dragon sleeves have foam inserts. Mine from the kickstarter is used for assorted metal dice and there's no movement (although I haven't tried tungsten yet)
@Jon. Yes, we have done that already. Some of the underdogs have those exact items already. We could certainly do that.
@Pao. Check out our Dice Guard on our instock page too.
The Spalted Tamarind. Would you consider ar even be able to do that in a boulder? The pattern would be great in a large die like that.
Or you could get one of the theme boxes with the foam insert. No bumping and right amount of room
On second thought.. Here's my conundrum: I'm still looking for an awesome way to carry the new beauties around. The hero sleeves are a little to small, so they're definitely out, but the dragon sheath are probably a little too big so you'd have to put some other dice in there so they don't bump around while on the road. This is what I'm planning to do right now, but maybe it'd be extra awesome to have a case that fits more or less exactly.
Then again.. For D&Ding you'd still want that single odd die for advantage or disadvantage. So there's a bit of a dilemma here - top smugly might be bad, too.
But then.. If anyone can solve this, DMG can!
I love me some zebras and am still trying to decide between Bocote and Zebrawood for my advantage/disadvantage odd D20. So put my vote down for all the zebras 😁
@Brandon thanks for the heads up. Tbh I definitely wasn’t paying as close attention as I could have been! In that case add me to the cries for Katalox. Another heavy wood is always good.
@DMG Thanks! I'm well aware. As partial quadriplegic with no finger movement, lighter is better. So it'd be perfect!
Completionist says Zebrawood first. But I like all the other suggestions too.
@DMG. OMG, OMG, OMG, Is this true?! *rubs sleep & disbelief from eyes* Shipping Exotic materials to Canada!!! OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! This is the Best News EVER!! What a Great update to wake up to.
3. Bolivian Rosewood
@Arianna Gonzales Good news! Purpleheart is already available. You can pledge for it now :)
Is fame box lighter then spalted tamarind? I’m putting in a vote for purpleheart unless there’s a problem with it.
Oooh, that Katalox is gorgeous! I second that vote!
@Brandon. Katalox is one of my favorites! Heavy and hard as a rock. Definitely doable for us.
@Barb. It's possible although it is so light, prone to dents, and can't be used for anything too heavy.
Mike, I may need a boulder box made out of that stuff.
How about katalox or wamara for the new wood?
We have worked with it before and it is readily available to us. Price is mid range.
I just looked up 3 flame box elder. Pretty amazing looking. Wonder how scarce and pricey it is.
@Erwin. We could certainly craft some Flame Box Elder dice, but that wood is VERY light in weight. just a head's up.
Dean and Serge will be pleased with this news! Zebrawood!
