We created the Doggy Bathroom to make dog ownership easier and to promote the emotional benefits of owning a dog. There is a proven scientific link between pet ownership and lower rates of heart disease, depression, and more. We allowed ourselves to envision a world where doggies can play a more active role in our daily lives, whether it's in schools, libraries, at home or at work.

Male Bathroom
For males, the Doggy Bathroom is outfitted with a pair of rails that simply snap into place on both sides of the Doggy Bathroom which allow you to vertically secure pee pads inside. As you already know by now, we’re committed to being green and have invested a lot of resources towards designing the perfect, high-performing, biodegradable pee pads for the Doggy Bathroom but just in case you feel strongly about using your own pee pads, we don't want to prevent you from enjoying the benefits of our product. For this reason, we’re including with each Doggy Bathroom, specially-designed clips so you can easily secure your own pee pads vertically to the rails.
Female Bathroom
While female doggies typically do not lift their leg (although we have been proven wrong in some cases!), one pee pad simply lines the bottom of the floor. This bathroom is therefore not outfitted with rails.

We have long been fans of Kickstarter for its unique ability to connect like-minded designers, creators and entrepreneurs as well as consumers. We admire the platform for enabling start-up companies like ours to reach a global audience from the get-go. We are super excited to showcase our own little brainchild in hopes of reaching dog owners (and new hopeful owners) who are as passionate about animals as we are. Our goal is to encourage dog ownership because we believe a well-balanced life includes man's best friend.
The Doggy Bathroom has the potential to completely revolutionize dog ownership, and we need Kickstarter to help us reach people from all around the world who don't even know they can benefit from becoming a fur parent. Daily exercise is a critical part of your doggy's overall health and wellbeing. Your doggy will still need to remain active and have access to lots of play time and exercise. While the Doggy Bathroom is a great solution for indoor potty usage, it should not be used as a replacement for daily walks.
We ship worldwide. Please consult each pledge for shipping prices as they may vary based on country, weight and size. The buyer is responsible for any/all duties.
Risks and challenges
We have researched, vetted and travelled all over China to meet and work with our chosen production partners. They have decades of experience doing what they do best, and have produced several samples and prototypes for us that we are satisfied with. These samples and prototypes have been distributed and tested by some of our families, friends and perfect strangers, not to mention over 75 different dogs from all walks of life. From newborn pups to rescued dogs, we put it to the test and now feel the time has come to bring it to market.
Based on the information gathered over the past two years, a new dog will successfully make use of the Doggy Bathroom after its second or third visit - and on many occasions, their first visit. Of course, it’s most successful with a dog who is used to pee pads, otherwise adapting a dog who has never used a pee pad can be quite challenging.
We even did a practice run on our packaging to make sure our boxes can fly around the world and deliver a perfect, intact Doggy Bathroom.
With that said, there's always the potential of an unforeseen event (such as weather or acts of nature) that may delay production. Of course, we'll be fully transparent throughout the manufacturing process and notify all our backers of any potential delays.

Much time was spent researching the material we would use in our product. Everything is made of only the highest-quality materials that are not only durable but won't discolour over time. We use new high-quality ABS plastic for the main body of the Doggy Bathroom and TPE for the base. The snap-in rails can be switched from male to female at any given time, and this system also lends itself to future upgrades such as LED lighting and our upcoming washable pee pads. We spent lots of time testing different thicknesses to not overuse raw material all the while achieving the perfect thickness, which earned Alain’s high-quality stamp of approval.
Reusability and recyclability
The Doggy Bathroom is made of 100% ABS plastic that can be recycled at the end of its life. The ABS plastic is white in colour, which makes it the easiest materials to recycle. No added colours make it the purest material to be reused. The Doggy Bathroom can be passed down from dog to dog, and can be adapted from male to female by simply switching the rails.
Our packaging is made from recycled brown paper and is printed with vegetable ink, meaning it can all be recycled. We created custom packaging that is minimal, lightweight and recyclable to help minimize emissions and waste. The Doggy Bathroom packaging is FSC certified.
Sustainable materials
Our pee pads are made with 100% biodegradable PE film. We also avoid mixed and toxic materials, and eliminate unnecessary layers or extra boxes. When boxes are necessary, we make sure they are strong enough so they don’t have to be boxed again for shipping.
Environmentally friendly factories
Our chosen manufacturer of the Doggy Bathroom is ISO2000 certified. Raw materials have been successfully sourced locally less than 20 kilometres away from the factory, which helps reduce unnecessary emission.
The Doggy Bathroom base is made of non-toxic PET materials, which limits the risk of harm to the health of factory workers, backers, doggies, and the environment alike. ABS plastic is also low emitting, making it the ideal material to work with.
Our pee pad manufacturer is ISO9000 certified. They are also SGS verified, which is a multinational company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland that provides inspection, verification, testing, and certification services. Furthermore, they are NQA compliant, which is the leading independent provider of environmental simulation testing, inspection and certification services in the USA.
Sustainable fulfillment and distribution
We make as many strides as possible to keep our product environmentally-friendly, and that includes shipping. The Doggy Bathroom was designed to be stacked and, as a result, is much more economical in every way possible to ship and store. The lightweight material also makes shipping and transporting as easy as can be. We can stack up to 50 Doggy Bathrooms on the same footprint.
We optimize every container for overseas shipping to get the lowest emissions rate possible. We consolidate our items, and only when our containers are full do we ship. We opted for warehouses and distribution centres that use low-wattage, long-lasting lighting and have a low to no idle policy.
