      Sorry we couldn't make this happen via Kickstarter. Don't give up of course, great Kickstarter projects are sometimes just overshadowed by other "more-famous" projects. Maybe this wasn't the right time for Divine Space, but that doesn't mean it won't be in a next month.

      Thank you everyone. We tried to chose the best time, but I've been unable to launch the campaign earlier and it wouldn't be possible to run it later. We had a good chances until Star Citizen popped up. About big portals - they don't want to risk posting about unknown team. This is business and their reputation, so that's absolutely fine if they are happy to post about Star Citizen and reluctant to post about uknown indie teams. We thought it would be difficult to get their attention, but it appeared to be simply impossible for us.

      I agree with ricky, I pledged $250 for Star Citizen and $120 for Interstellar Marines, I had another $100 in Elite which I pulled out to put into your project. Now it looks like only Star Citizen is getting funded... which isn't a bad thing but it's definitely not a small project and it's soaking up most peoples "pledge" dollars

      It also doesn't help there are 2 other similar games being funded right now (Elite and Star Citizen) and those two are getting a lot of attention from the more popular sites (GameSpot anyone?). I'm sure it's a lot of factors involved that may have caused this. Dodo Games, I honestly hope you all do not give up hope if this fails and to give it another go at a later time. I really was looking forward to this game on Android. PC and Mac already have their's, but the portable systems are in dire need of these games. Give it another go, small devices are already catching on the rage and it'll be a matter of time when the public will want to see more high quality games on those systems.

      The timing of this project is kinda poor because I can't pledge a lot right now due to the holiday season being right around the corner.

      I might be able to scrounge up $140 if this project is near 100% in a few days, but I have a feeling others are holding back for the same reason I am.

      Its a shame to see good projects go unfunded (blackspace being another one) but reality is harsh.

We still have two weeks and everything may change during that time; at least, we are working everyday and night to reach the press. Our backers did what they could do and we don't ask anything else. We are not negative in the update - we are on our own and we have to find other ways to success. And we are seeking those ways right now. :)

      I must say I am little taken back by the last two updates. I understand that this an indie game, but it doesn't have to be shoved down to the supporters throats that without them the game won't exist. That is marketing 101.

      I applaud you for trying to gain exposure to generate interest, and in short if the supporter want to see this game succeed they will do their part to help get it the exposure it needs. But if all the supporter has to go by is "if you don't help the game won't be made" no one will support it. Getting it on IGN may be a good boost or even Joystiq, but if you can't get it on there there are alternative ways to expose it. Some really cool projects never got the support and I rest blame in part on the developer not "selling" the game to their supporters and in turn not "selling" it to potential markets.

      Anyways, I don't want to sound negative. I supported the project on the notion that this was cool and interesting project.

      About Ouya - it would require a serious changes in controls and interface. If we will make such version, it won't happen anytime soon. Though we want to do that, of course.

      @Anti: My pleasure to assist! I missed you the first time around when the Skyjacker team (I also backed) had pointed me your way, because my finances were not prepared at that time... so, seeing Corey's reminder was critical. Regarding your statement of hardcore games for mobile... a serious, complex game for mobile was exactly the pitch for République, which succeeded, but barely made their funding goal earlier this year. I think you're right, that this is where the mobile games industry is moving. Consider also the case of Robert Bowling (of Call of Duty fame), his Human Element game concept, and the Kickstarted OUYA gaming console. His company is planning to make Human Element be a apocalyptic survival horror game where you can run a mobile/tablet client for resource gathering & organizing communications with other players. One mobile feature he is planning, activates when you are out somewhere in the real world, at GPS-recorded map locations (i.e., you go to the store to buy groceries, pull out your mobile while waiting in the line, and attempt to loot groceries from the apocalyptic version of that store). Then, when you are home, you can play their (I assume) triple-A game client to fight other survivors for the scraps of what remains. It is an enormously ambitious concept, but the mobile portion sounds like a critical part. This somewhat differs from Divine Space, where the actual game client is (or will be) ubiquitous on all of the platforms, but it is definitely indicating direction of the industry, as you mention. Speaking of all the platforms... if Divine Space would run on moderately powerful tablets (Tegra3, for example), have you considered a port of the control interface to the OUYA Android console? It's entire business model is to support F2P games (including MMO's), or at least demoware (for games like platformers that will have no F2P model). If you're able to create a simplified control interface for tablets, surely a console interface is not too far from that! Also, the OUYA controller is a little richer than the typical controller, in that it does have a capacitive touchpad area in the middle. Anyway, just an idea! I'm sure that like most game studios, you'd love to see your games play everywhere on every platform, and as beautifully and smoothly as possible... as long as there are money and resources to make these things happen, of course. Again, best of luck, and keep up your courage!

Amongst other games here, it was second game that I really want to play, not just back to support developers (and I will play it!). I was sent over by Corey Cole of the Hero-U Kickstarter in an update sent just yesterday ( http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878147873/hero-u-rogue-to-redemption/posts/344017 ). In fact, he considered this project important enough to back himself. I trust his judgement (he and Lori created the Quest for Glory series of games that I loved so much as a young person), and feel that it is important to change the face of gaming through crowd-sourcing like Kickstarter.
      Further, I'm proud to back any solid game concept which is supporting Linux, my gaming platform. Thank you, and the rest of the Divine Space team!

      @Kevin, this game is anti-mainstream from the beginning. It's relatively hardcore game for mobile platforms - and this is not mainstream... Not yet. But it is where industry is moving toward, we are just one of the first teams who understood it and bet on it. I've got a very positive feedback on this initiative, let's hope we will get enough support in this crusade. Maybe someday community of developers will form who share those views.       I just read your post , it seemed very interesting to me, but I'm not on someones payroll. If you were trying to make people think, you did, if that's a good thing or not, not sure. People in places of power like it there and what sent them there is God...to them at least...talking change is great the world needs it, but your going against the stream here, and they just read it. Hope you were planning on scaring some guys until they wet themselves, because you got close, I think, just hope it works out for you.

      I funded it at the $20 level. I would have funded at $35 for the full soundtrack, but you chose not to provide the full soundtrack at that level. I'm not willing to pay $75 for the soundtrack, so $20 it is. I look forward to the game though, I love space games and also ARPG's. I hope you meet your funding goal :)

      No, Divine Space is not a chess, don't worry. Combat is real-time and surely not a strategy, though you will have to use your intelligence and tactic to success (instead of arcade/sim gameplay).       I do hope for the PC release you spend time polishing the game up to pc standards and controls. Point and click might be fine on a tablet, but I hope I hope I won't be playing chess when I play Divine Space, but have more hands on control :/, I have 4x games for chess already :P
